Just purchased a wooden stocked Lupo in 30-06 and you are correct sir. It is a work of art. Absolutely love it.

Hey, I'm in the market for a 30-06 & I'm considering a Sako S20 Hunter, a Browning X-Bolt2 and based on my first glance at this rifle, the Benelli Lupo, also in walnut. I was initially considering the Browning B.A.R. and Benelli R1 autoloaders, but after seeing the review by Ron Spomer, I decided to go with bolt action. What are your impressions, after having owned it a few months? Did it come with a muzzle brake? How does recoil feel as compared to, say, a Tikka? Any complaints? I love the Italian design, it reminds me of a Pagani - but I know that doesn't guarantee quality, so I'm doing homework on this rifle, looking for honest, non-sponsored reviews.

I have the same thought process on both rifles and it’s funny how you mentioned the brx1 I like that rifle in it’s green color definitely buying both for my first two long guns

I own the 308 and 270 Lupo. I have found the right ammo for the 308. Half inch MOA at 100 yards. Now refining the 270 next. Absolutely love the rifles.

mate of mine swears by his T3x. Its a great rifle but this thing is worth the price difference - its gorgeous.

Got my Lupo 300 WM with muzzle break BEST elevation stock and with a 180 gr bullet, it kicks less than my 308 with a 150 gr… Lupo groups less than an inch at 100 yards … got many groups lower 0,5 inch groups too

My friend got one in 300 Win Mag and l shot it yesterday. He has a muzzle break and the rifle had barely any recoil. I was thinking of getting a 6.5 CM, l am devided between a Lupo and M70 Winchester.

As a beginner seeking his first hunting rifle, I want quality from the beginning so I don't find myself 'upgrading' every 2 or 3 years. I'm wondering what the best bolt-action system is. I'll be experimenting with different types/brands of ammo, leaded & lead-free, likely 30-06, 6.5PRC or 7mm. I've now got it narrowed to 4 rifles: Sako S20 Hunter / Sako S90 Hunter Tikka T3x Laminated Stainless or Super Varmint Browning X-Bolt 2 Benelli Lupo BE.S.T. Anyone out here with experience with more than one of the above, who'd care to suggest one over the other? I'd rather ask this of real owners/hunters than sales people.

Yes, you have to fit them yourself. Holes are already there.

If your "friend who's been shooting for years" tells you to buy a Tikka just like him, use your own brain and check these rifles out instead.

It's not a scout rifle, very rare now for a hunting rifle to have iron's....

@@racknload No, not rare at all. Open sights also have nothing to do with a ‘scout rifle’ or toy, but are quite useful in some situations.

@@fangan4770 Scout as in the type of rifle not boy scout rifle. I work in the firearms industry and probably 0.5% of our stock of hunting rifles do not have open sights. In fact the only one I can think of is a Ruger Scout rifle which I've reviewed. Here in the UK, everyone drops on a scope....
