Benelli TRK 502 X | Transalpina | Romania's highest road

Transalpina: The highest paved road in Romania. With a total length of 146 km, it goes through the Carpathian Mountains, reaching a maximum altitude of 2.145 m above the sea level in Pasul Urdele. Transalpina is considered among the most picturesque in the country and has a long history: originally a Roman road, it was paved in the 1930s and renovated by the Nazis in World War II.

Hello and thank you! Well, the bike is just awesome for that price! It has more than enough power for a calm rider. The weight will make it stable on the street, but it won't be your friend off-road. You can easily cruise at 90-100 km/h, even more, but you can't overtake at speeds exceeding 160-170 km/h because it just won't pull. In my opinion, the brakes are also very good, that after you break them in. After about 3000 km I had one a problem. The temperature gauge was always showing that the engine is cold. I took it back to the dealer and they had to ask the manufacturer for a solution since they could not find what caused it. There was a problem with the device called "b-box" that keeps track of the bike location, speed, rides and others. I MUST tell you that I've seen some TRKs with more than100 000 kilometers on the clock, so in my opinion, if you are a gentle rider, keep the rpms low and you take good care of it, it should last for a long time. I absolutely love the bike's aspect, I am a calm rider. Right now I have a beautiful old '93 lady, called Transalp(INA) XLV 600, with over 100k on the dashboard, to be precise 103821 :) Never dissapointed me in these years, but I like something new, slow and comfy. This might sound weird coming from a 28 years old guy. :D I am not an agressive rider, I love ADV bikes, I ride to enjoy, to relax, to live for the surroundings! Thank you so much again!
