We have this bike from new...It now has 30000km on it and can say it is a great motorcycle for its intended purpose.....Long range touring with all your gear...That includes the back roads, rocks, river crossings, mountain climbing, etc....The weight is less than my african twin which is our second bike....Any adventure bike that will carry large loads is also strong. . This is a fuel injected machine which is very controllable....Our bike is ridden by a female that is 5'8 and she does a great job ridding it.....Braking is very good and is durable lasting so far to 30,000 Km with not change of pads front or back.....My african Twin has gone through two sets... Original chain is very high quality and still on the bike....We have changed one front sprocket.....The early Benelli had a defective back shock which did fail for us, but was replaced under warranty....We have changed the original battery to make sure it will work with no problems.....This is a great bike for the cost involved....It is a great bike if you paid more money for it....If you want a bike to ride the world with this would be one of my picks and I have traveled the world over the years I have road.....If money is no object then get the GS or the African twin...They are also excellent adventure bikes....and both much heavier. I have owned them both....For ease of work on it, cost of replacement parts this bike is ahead of the other two....This bike will be able to keep up with all of them....

I'm 6'2 and this bike felt like it was tailored specifically to me. It knocked me straight out of my cruiser/classic fervor and sent me into an Adventure-bike obsession. I cannot overstate how comfortable and safe I felt while riding it. Only drawback IMO is that the weight is a little bit top heavy so I just have to get used to the turns on this bike.
@Bykersam Жыл бұрын
You are spot on about the top heavy situation, though in terms of heigh I'm 6 foot and after acquiring a lower seat I too feel very comfortable

@Bykersam I just saw a review on an identical bike (thought it was you speaking Italian for a moment) by a guy called Zero Highways. This thing held up on a massive trip across central Asia, very impressive. I look forward to a similar trip in Australia and possibly Eastern Europe, though tbh I'll likely do that on a Ural m72 lol

it's an amazing bike mate, although it's good for what it was made for, meaning it's not made for off road nor racing, it's made for trail. Regarding your negatives I have a couple of comments, - I never had that issue with the gear that goes to neutral too easy, the other way around actually, I find it hard to put neutral when I want to. - The seat is quite high yes, but you can buy another seat that lower it down by 3 cm. - the center stand isn't very easy to put, but isn't that hard either, I had other bikes with much harder stands to put. - finally the usb you can buy a double one very cheap. So, I don't really consider your negatives to be real negatives, apart from the weight, but than again this is a full size bike so you couldn't expect less. By the way, I bought mine a couple of weeks ago and im loving it, it's by far the most comfortable bike I had so far, and good looking to. Not the most powerful for sure, but really enough for what I want and need atm.
@Bykersam3 жыл бұрын
3Ls I am so happy to read your comments, as they tell me you are a real trk502x enthusiast and any enthusiast deserves a thumbs up in my book, yes the negatives maybe leaning towards over stretching but I wanted to include all that I felt, different experiences felt by different owners, I also heard many argue about sticking gears but if you use good synthetic or semi synthetic oil that problem is far less or in my case non existant (2000km in 7 days). The centre stand issue is actually due to the stand being 1 to 1.5cm too tall but yes it is manageable, but it should be shared with others so they know. I have since installed a further usb kit 👍 and the seat you refer to that drops it by 30mm is of poor quality compared to the original but I totally agree with you it does help with the height, I will custom build one soon myself, again thank you for your comments I did enjoy reading them 🙏🙏🙏👍👌

I have the same bike but in grey (2019). Coming from a Ducati monster I was a bit sceptic, but in the end I’m really happy with my buy. It’s really fast enough, every hp more is just unnecessary for this type of bike. This being said, the rider in the film really rode it slow. It’s not representative for what it can. The torque is really nice, from 45kmph to 150 in 6th without a problem. The vibration everyone in talking about is real. But you really get used to it, and it gets better with getting kms on the bike. All in all, I won’t change it. The 19 inch front wheel on the X really makes it manage able an agile. (But I am 1m84 and 95kg)

Hi jeroen, I very much appreciate your comments, and I agree it is fast enough for the purpose it was built for, I have a second review after riding it 2,000km and it gives more insight into the bike. Overall, it is a very well priced piece of kit 👍

Hi Matt, the first service I did was a simple oil and filter change, if you ride in relatively clean environments, then oil and oil filter is more than enough with a quick check of the air filter, it's pretty straight forward, service manuals if followed are best but are extremely cautious 😊😉

@warrensalter27063 жыл бұрын
@@Napomsfreedom my $.03, the himalayan is a better bike. Think of the himalayan is more like an SUV. RE has a solid 400cc engine. RE has alot of aftermarket parts. TRK has ~39hp (dyno'd by a reviewer), not 46 as printed. The seat is high. The center stand has been complained about. The hand levers are too far forward...bad. Rumoured is Benelli is going to fix that. Some have complained about the shape of the tank as difficult when standing. The TRK has 2.5" of rear travel, which seems to be a limitation. Also hard to adjust as well. Chinese writers have suggested this is a sport tourer versus an adventure moto. So, its a light off road. The TRK would be fine if your riding 95% on road. Some people might not agree with me, but the Chinese bikes have not gotten the off-road experience resolved. The RE would do both road/off-road decent. For $5000 the RE is better imo. TRK is a great effort and a with few more innovations and corrections it would be an awesome alternative. The Benelli does look awesome and looks like it would be awesome ro have. But ride both and see which is a better fit for you. Best of luck on your alaska ride.

Nice reasoned review although I dont know why you kept refering to the BMW GS as completely different bikes. The Honda CB500X is the main competitor as also a 500 twin budget bike. The Benelli brand has a long hisory and they made some fantastic bikes and i think the Chinese owners are listening very much to their customer. The new model has a better centre stand to get round the poor design on your bike. Im very tempted to buy one of these myself as i have a Triumph 1200 scrambler and realise i dont need a huge off road bike like that a the power is wasted in all honesty.

@@MrDIYKING to be honest I ride in lower gears more as I was in the karakoram mountains so it is steep, I think 33 is too optimistic but I think 29 average of highway and city is realistic if you ride calmly

One must consider that max claimed fuel consumption varies due to alot of factors. So easily expect a real difference of 2kmpl.
