Not so big that moorage out prices the boat. Not at all small when it comes to THREE staterooms and a huge cockpit. This is the "Just Right" boat for many sailing enthusiasts. Nice job, Beneteau - very nice.

Check out the First 36.7, similar boat, half the price. Of course it isn't brand new.

@@WillOHaver What you rightfully say goes for a First 31.7 compared to a Sunfast 3200 and even more to the 3300. I wonder if it's justified, if you make abstratraction of any age difference?

At one time Beneteau was known for their woodwork aboard their boats, now it seems like classic wood interiors are being replaced with more white plastic. I know tastes and design change over time but, I think my First 265 interior looks better. However, this is a great looking design and i know this is going to be a fantastic sailing boat.

I've always admired Beneteaus and have chartered them and Jeneaus. But just on asthetics, the acres of white interior reminds me of a Star Wars Storm Trooper! That's just me missing the 'inner' wood beauty Beneteaus were formerly known for. I loved the curved entryways etc of the past. But, this is a race boat more than a racer cruiser, IMHO, so make it as race functional as possible.

I am in the market for a 36-45' boat that planes and will stand true ocean racing like S2H, Transpac, etc. You claim that the 36 will plane at 12Knots of wind and in the past I owned a 36.7 and it was pig nowhere close to the claimed weight. Can the the icebox and center table be removed as they would be a huge pain for sail handling? If I were to buy one and did not plane at 12-13knots of wind would you take the boat back for a full refund?

The 36.7 was a great boat, but of course the new 36 benefits from more than twenty years of innovation and improvement. The icebox is standard with the boat and cannot be removed. If you're considering this boat, my advice is to schedule a sea trial with your local dealer - you won't be sorry you did 👍

I watched this only for the guy's selling technique. But I'm a tiny bit disappointed as there were less superlatives and stunts than when he was praising the new First 27. One to remember ! This boat has copied the extraordinary Pogo 30 so well indeed, that it sells by itself. He could have stick to saying: you've got 250k losing value in the bank, buy this. So much more fun. Shame I don't have them, but that's another story 😊
