Hi! Love your Seat Paint Attempt and your *honesty!* You had me _snorting_ when you said, "From a Galloping Horse it looks fine!" At one of my FX Shops I freelanced at, the Boss would sometimes say a "similar thang" to a late nyte deadline nervous crew, _"Don't worry Folks, it's a far away wide shot!"_

Lol! I’m glad you enjoyed the videos that was a fun project. Wide shots for the win!

You did good dude. Nice job. Knucklehead me would have started at the edge of the O hole and prolly boogered it up.... derp derp. Lol

It came out great. A month or so later I dropped a screwdriver on it and punctured the top. Lol DOH!

Pro Tip: Use a hairdryer to help get the stencil off. It helps to not pull paint off where you want it to stay. Works better, every time.

Good idea. Will keep that in mind for next time. Thanks!

To add to this, plastic razor blades are also super useful for not marring the leather.

I’m not totally sure..fat cam on the early ones. I’m sure there’s a google article about it.

You could always match the seat color with one coat and fill in where it bleeds, then paint the white over that. Might work. 🤷🏽♂️
@KeepOnWrenching Жыл бұрын
It’s a really heavy paint…easy to get messy or globby. I’m sure there are many ways to go about it. That stencil is the way to go IMO.
@robertboyer5498 Жыл бұрын
@@KeepOnWrenching I agree. Maybe I’m not clear. I meant put the stencil on, spray the first mist coat black then the rest white. Only the first coat will bleed, that will seal the stencil on and the white should have crisp edges. Works on other surfaces, I’ve never tried vinyl.

Hi! I just understood what you meant & said there. Will try that on a mess of projects I got goin' on in the shop. Since I have a small vinyl plotter here, I was gonna cut out a decal with #frogtape or some other good gracious no-bleed Painter's Tape before reading your comment. Now I've "got two options"! @@robertboyer5498
