There should not be a need at TE but not necessarily because of Eric All, or even Mike Gesicki. Before last season these bozos gave a three year extension to Drew Sample. This guy is a six year vet, was drafted in the 2nd Round, has spent his entire career with the Bungles and hasn't done squat. Cut Sample immediately, TE is NOT a primary blocking position it is a playmaking eligible receiver position. A Travis Kelce position for production on offense. Tired of this franchise keeping veterans who don't do squat. Drew Sample, Trayveon Williams, Chris Evans, Joe Bachie, among others. Drew Sample has had six years to win the starting job and thus far this team has gone out and drafted other TEs, they just re-signed Grandy, they signed Irv Smith in 2023, Gesicki in 2024, got Hudson, drafted Eric All and another TE in last April's draft, but still keep Drew Sample. Heck they kept four active on the roster most all of 2024. Other than Gesicki, the rest were there just to block or look stupid after Eric was injured. Pathetic management, sick of Drew Lazy Awkward Sample. In fact, they have one crummy Sample on offense and one on defense who impersonates an edge rusher.

@ I get the point you’re making . But the role of TE depends on the offensive system. Not all offense utilize TE’s as a pass catcher . Sample was signed to a fairly cheap contract on a Bengals team that was loaded with talent at WR and lacked talent on the O line. They also struggled in the run game. They needed guys who could block. People see TE’s like Kelce and think teams need that to succeed. In reality he is a luxury few teams have.

I hope they keep Herbert. It didn’t seem like Moss fit in but Herbert had some key turnovers he jumped on the ball to recover. I doubt Moss wants to be RB2 but Herbert will be okay with it

I would love to see Tee Higgins back and be totally wrong for what I am going to say, BUT, he is going to be the #1 sought out free agent when free agency begins which would require them to outbid the rest of the league. Tagging him again would just irritate him and if traded these bozos would likely get downgraded players or picks.
