The irony that the only 2 cars that could probably have gotten away with thrashing it through the floods (disco and defender at the end) were the only 2 cars that drove through at a sensible speed. So many of the others could happily have made it if they’d just driven through at a slow speed!

Comparing the Land Rover at the start with the ones at the end, just shows how much difference the speed makes. The two Jaguars went appropriately slowly as well, and the white one had the advantage of not having an air intake.

I'm amazed it made it. That's a CR-Z so it is a hybrid at least in the US market. Might have helped its case if it was running mostly on battery power.

@@JackAttak They were Integrated Motor Assist unlike the Toyotas they always had their engines running they never ran on full battery mode as the batteries were tiny they just boosted performance of the little Petrol engine to reduce C02 emissions. I know a Guy that swapped out the IMA motor for an Accord 2.4 K series engine as a project, it turned the car into a plus 145mph sports car.

for the first one : i have a disco 2, it's just a dumb driver : too much speed, bad sealing airbox or leaking snorkel and or probably a bad ecu connector. ecu and airbox are just behind the front light
