I'm beg to find at least one yankee against capitalism. i would love to meet at least one who can ask us, the latinamericans, about our view, or ask about comunism and socialism and not only critize them for what you've been learned in school or in the family. Che guevara was an excellent man, who gave his life to see a better world without poorness and opression, and he didn't need so he came from a very rich family. Comunism isn't the "bad guy", neither the good. But is better than capitalism.

It is actually quite interesting how all the comments to this clip is about how hot Del Toro is or how great or how bad Che was depending on which nationality you've got. Has anyone actually seen these movies??? Personally I think they are really great movies trying to portray Che as a human being; not good, not bad - just human. And I have huge respect for all the work and research which has been put into these movies. GREAT work from Del Toro and Soderberg, in my opinion.

What few people acknowledge is that Che was a physician, a poet, and a deeply humanistic person. What prompted him to get involved in the revolution was compassion after he witnessed the suffering of the poor people. While I don't support methods that include killing and war, I don't think we should demonize this man. He was in his own way a truly great man.

The sanctions that US embargo hold against Cuba are basically inexistent. After the Cuban misil crisis the US has loosen its restrictions regarding this blockade. Now Cuba's lack of technology has caused a mayor impact that usually Corporated America provide for those that are allowed to trade with and that situation happens with most Latin American countries, therefore your theory surrounding the Embargo is inaccurate.

It seems to be. To get a good quick introduction, I'd say watch The Motorcycle Diaries (although I'd say the actor who plays Che is woefully miscast) and then Che parts 1 and 2 (again, I'd say Benicio del Toro is miscast - he looks the part, but lacks Che's cynical sense of humor). The book by Jon Lee Anderson goes deeper.

@TheEinarr88 I never said he didn't have racist views. Nor am I a "Che groupie", as while there are many inspiring things about Guevara's actions and worldview, there is also much wrong with them, which is why I don't unconditionally admire him. However, I don't think we should let the negative aspects cloud the positive ones either; if we did, we should renounce nearly all historical figures we respect, since you can find bigoted views, violent intent, or other terrible flaws in any of them.

The US is the fifth largest exporter to Cuba (6.6% of Cuba's imports are from the US). However, Cuba must pay cash for all imports, as credit is not allowed. The embargo was relaxed by the Trade Sanctions Reform and Export Enhancement Act. Therefore the Embargo is a scapegoat used by Castro's regime to blame all of Cuba's problems.

Cubas economic freedom score is 26.7, making its economy one of the worlds least free, ahead of only Zimbabwe and North Korea. Its overall score is 1.2 points lower than last year, reflecting primarily a worsened score in investment freedom.
