More successful, meaningful, and a historic key figure than any of your family line's past or future all put together. What most people don't know, is how the Cuban Revolution was firstly against a dictator, who supported US cronyism. Then after the revolution it was the US, who acted so aggressive towards Cuba, denied even negotiations, and started to boycott them. Only then they turned to Russia, (who demanded they become communist in exchange for help) as they had nowhere else left to go.

Damn, that was a 15 second drag on that cigar, and he had severe asthma too!! He was totally hot but his bathing habits were slim to none they say. People often complained about how bad he smelled. He was actually proud that his childhood friends nicknamed him "chancho" (pig in English) and that he had a "once a week shirt." Changed his shirt only once a week. He was so handsome that I may have been able to look past that!!! They way he spoke almost puts you in a trance. Perfect Spanish, no slang!!!

He permanently disappeared from public life in Cuba shortly after. After that, he tried unsuccessfully to lead a revolution in the Congo where he lost half his 12 man team, and then in Bolivia where he failed miserably before he was caught and executed..

@Red Baron There have been military regimes in Latin America for hundreds of years. During the Cold War, both sides fought proxy wars and propped up dictators. The West mostly, with a few notable exceptions, did it to stop the forced spread of communism and to prevent their stated goal of taking over the world. It's an easy choice in my book.
