I'm looking forward to Big Mac as overnight host. He just projects the right vibe (calm, rational), for the overnight. Sal's 3AM outrage schtick and fake fights with callers had grown old, he needed to move on Sal and Tierney will make a good pair.

Whatever happened to Bruce in Flushing? Guy had a slight lisp, knew more about Yankees from the Majors down to A ball than any WFAN host, and display of his depth of knowledge always seemed the point of his calls.

@darrenholmes4213 Are we talking about the same guy? Because I just don't recall the Bruce I'm thinking of as a guy with many trade proposals. And there were two Bruces (maybe I mixed them up). You sure you recognize the guy I described, tons of Yankee minutia, a tad more interested in hearing his own voice than host's reply? Sad to hear that he might be dead.

@@danminutillo5890 Thanks. Sadly all the WFAN caller-characters are dying off, without younger replacements. Omar is the only regular remaining. Seems it was Summers on the overnight that brought many of these folks out, gave them the confidence to phone in.
