I’m Indonesian who currently reside in the US. Since I’ve moved here, i feel like I’m missing lots about my culture. Cant blame the western influence because i chose to blend in and it disappeared by the time. I think it’s for me to reevaluate and relearn the culture where i grew up. Thank you Nadir for sharing this gems. 🙏❤️

Nadir, this is touching. As an Indonesian myself, I feel like I haven't even done anything good regarding my culture and roots. You are very inspiring, and I can't wait for your projects to come!! Stay safe and stay healthy!

I like to think of Indonesia (my cultural heritage) as a gem. Unlike the most exported and famous Asian countries (China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, India, etc), Indonesia is quite unheard of for many people. I remember someone asked me once if India and Indonesia were the same. 😄 Anyways. I've always liked to talk about my country since it's so unknown to many. I was the only Indonesia boy with my brother at school. The diaspora here in Belgium and in Europe (except for the Netherlands) is small. The Indonesians are not business driven so you don't see many Indonesian restaurants. It's a huge country like you say but ask someone to name a famous Indonesian brand or artist or thinker.

Indonesian recently moved to NL here. Thanks so much for the video Nadir. Your videos help me a lot dealing with my adaptation & homesickness being away from home. Food is my ultimate way to come back to my roots and is a constant reminder of my identity. Introducing Indonesian food to people around me has been a delightful experience of telling about my life narratives. Of course, as we know most Indo food require lots of steps, love, and devotion and it can feel like such a hassle at times, but it always reminds me of the true spirit of Indonesian: gentle, hard-working and devoted people who are always welcoming and happy to share their love with others. Can't wait for your next projects & videos! ✨

This is such a lovely video. Other than it being an intoduction to Indonesian culture, it is a way to unites people. I never been live outside Indonesia for my whole life but i agree with the statement when you are an immigrant in someone's country you are more respecting to your own culture. I love how they way you sets the place, because the purpose is to being one and relate to each other and i can feel the intimacy. Thanks for sharing this video and the process of behind making this. I really appreciate you for introducing Indonesian culture in such a fun, brilliant way to other people. This video puts a smile on my face :)
