It's crazy that Indonesia is one of the most populated countries in the world, yet it's culture is so underrepresented and under appreciated globally. The Indo food I've tried was delicious, would love to try more!

Because your folks not migrating much. Yes, you sent your workers here and there, but mostly just temporary migrants. Compared to other Asian countries, the majority of you guys inexplicably prefer to stay in your own country, instead of becoming permanent residents in the countries you visited. That's why.

When COVID is over, they should open a restaurant in Williamsburg specializing in tahu (tofu) & tempe. Vegan hipsters would be flocking in. A lot of people know about tempe, but they don't know that it's Indonesian.

The accent doesn't matter at all. Let's focus more on how amazing these women are, judging by their efforts to fulfill Indonesians needs and also (indirectly) promote Indonesian cuisines out there. They seem dedicated, hardworking, and likeable. Hope they get bigger.

What is truly indonesian are the ethnic and traditional music we already have, dangdut is the result of cultural appropriation, just because something is popular, doesn't mean it is correct. Indonesia is too diverse of a nation to truly have 1 single type of music. Similar to how even though hip hop and electronic music is extremely popular in Europe, those are nowhere near what you would call something truly European. Besides, most of the dangdut songs are just used for shitpost memes, a lot of people do not really listen to it for leisure, this is proven by the top indonesian charts, people listen to that shit for the shits and giggles, not the actual quality.

Yes, the taste is pretty different, in Korea for example, coconut milk there usually sweeter, this is why Indonesian food is not everywhere, the spices are too many while we can't find them easily

the best indonesia food I ever eat is Nasi Ayam Penyet in warung without name in road intersection of 21, Jl Kerinci Raya, South Jakarta (beside Koramil O5). And the best bakso is made by our family bibik. I literally grew up with her bakso.

I don't think the accent should be hidden, its already hard enough to speak foreign language, let alone learning a new accent. Also, as long as they're able to communicate well, their accent isn't a problem.

Most of westerners cooked tempe in a wrong way. That's why lots of them think it taste weird. Tempe is heaven by its own if you cook it properly.

I think Indonesian should proud of their accent like this lady. Its bold and clear. Other wise mostly Indonesian youngster copied US accent and sounds like they were speaking English while chewing gum.

My Chemistry with Indonesia/indonesians:- Signing in at Carnival cruises- Indonesian crew members talking to me in their language... Mingling with Indonesians:- since our physical looks are very similar we mingle easily. Indonesian food:- went out of the ship for food with indonesian Crew mates, thinking to myself this is the closest to home food you could get a 1000miles away from home, I Love it (lots of similar food ingredients used) Me watching this episode:- i miss indonesian food I am from Manipur, India

@Dhawi Biasa manusia,sekali ada orang yang ngomong hal positif tentang xxx kita,kita langsung ngomong ke orang lain bahwa kita kagum dan bangga menjadi xxx. Tapi begitu ada orang yang ngomongin hal negatif yang 100% benar tentang xxx kita,kita langsung sembunyi. Kalo yang gak tau malu pura pura jadi xxx lain kalo udh jelek jelekin xxx dia sendiri. Malah ada yang marah dan berkata dia berbohong tentang xxx dia setelah itu menjelekan xxx orang lain. Gw siap di jelek-jelekin di sini.Udah kebiasa.

Gw bisa berbahasa inggris tapi logat gw emank nga seperti orang indonesia tapi itu bukan karna gw nga cinta indonesia tapi memank cara ngomong gw begitu klo gw bikin kaya logat indonesia malah gw maksa mungkin lu bisa merasakan hal ini klo lu bisa berbahasa inggris/berbahasa lain sekarang gw tanya lu bisa nga berbahasa inggris/bahasa lain klo lu nga bisa berbahasa lain sih wajar elu ngasih statement kaya gini,biasa nya orang yang ngasih statement kaya gini otak monolingual alias cuma bisa satu bahasa hahahaha

Logat Inggrisnya renyah banget, mencerminkan Endonesah sekali. Their accents are very thick (in a good way) that represent how Indonesian phonetics can be applied to appropriate English without sounding bule .
