This is a first hearing of any works by this composer. I really enjoyed it. Thks for this posting. Can't wait to enjoy more of what can be found on your channel.

A fine First Symphony, this already has Frankel's characteristically introspective intensity built on compact motifs. Perhaps it's not attractive thematically at first, but this, and his other symphonies I've heard, have been more appreciated and enjoyed with some familiarity over time.
