Thanks, Ted, for this video. This convinced me to buy the Crosman 2220. I caught 14 rabbits and hare between March and September last year (2014), some at over 35 yards, using the H & N Barracuda Power of 21 grains, which practically "freeze" the animal to the first shot in the head. Hawke HD 3-9x50 and Benjamin Marauder pistol is a great combination.

Bought myself a Woodswalker…. Never looked back.... Well unless to remember that I have to pick that one up too on my way out... Also glad that I went with the poly mags... They have given me the best performance from a short barreled air gun such as this ... I also like that you can use it as a pistol while in carbine mode.... A very versatile piece of equipment... Crossman did good on this one....

I was impressed with the Predator PolyMags. In both tests (25 & 50-yards), this pellet seemed to produce the tightest groupings - a little low at 50-yards, but that could have been due to lower pressure in the gun too or adjusted for when sighting the firearm. I’m placing an order for pellets this week and will add a tin of the PolyMags to test.

Nice video. I love my USA made marauder .25 call rifle awesome gun. The pistol had some trigger issues where it became out of adjustment without being touched and the gun would not fire. I called crossman and they helped me fix the problem in five minutes. excellent customer service

I’ve. Watched this I can’t count the times. This has helped me get the most out of my prod. Mine loves the H&N Field target trophy power. It’s unreal how much my groups closed up using these pellets. I’m very confident out to50 yards anything the size of a quarter I’m going to hit it when I use them pallets.

Ted, Great informative video again !!!!!! I have a Benjamin Marauder (about 2 weeks old) and I'm having problems getting a good grouping. I'm on the verge of sending it back for a replacement, but after seeing this video, I'm going to try some copper pellets first and pray. What's the chance that you could do a video on your Marauder shooting different types of pellets. I searched your previous videos, but didn't see one.

Two things I have learned about both mauraders. Barrel shroud can be too tight. Also make sure to clean the barrel, mine came with a film or oil residue. My P-rod likes to shoot from 2600 psi to 1800 and get about 4 mags. Different ones seem to like somewhat different pellets, my M-rod does not like the Benjamin pellets, which most mauraders do.

Nice video, sorry I've said this on a different video of your, which I should have posted on this one instead but I've bought a Ruger Mark 1 air pellet pistol, which I didn't like due to the large hand grip and the long trigger pull, on top of a heavy trigger pull, which to me is way more then a 357 revolver. I forgot to see if it had a trigger adjustment , but then I would still be left with the larger hand grip. (if it doesn't feel comfortable when I hold it maybe it's not the right one for

i recently got a browning 800 magnum pistol in .177, supposed to kick out pellets at about 700 fps, have to sight it in, the first few shots did spook birds on a wire maybe 30 yards away, none dropped...
@robertvanocker269511 жыл бұрын
It all depends on what you plan on doing with the AirGun. I'd recommend you using the Nitro Piston / Spring Air Rifles in .177 cal if your doing Target practice & Maybe Nitro Piston .22 cal if you want to do like squirrel hunting / birds. I'd do PCP .25 or .22 to go hunting with over all though. And the reason I picked Nitro Piston over spring is because they have less recoil sometimes and are just an overall better gun most of the time. But Like I said PCP is the best hunting gun overall.

Predator polymags shoot really well in this airgun. Unfortunately they are also expensive and so far I have not yet found any other pellets that would shoot as well. The Prod shoots small head size pellets well and ones that are out of hard lead. The soft ones like JSB's do not do too well here at all. The crosman hollow point pellets I am told do well. So far it seems to be true but again they are hollow points just like predators so maybe I am going to try the copper plated ones next time

I've had good accuracy results with the .117 poly-mags in my most of my airguns. I don't shoot them in my preferred rifle because they don't feed well from the magazine, and as far as I can tell, there isn't a single shot adapter for my rifle. One thing that I find strange is that all of my Crosman guns tend to shoot the Gamo Tomahawk pellets really well. I think it's strange because Game makes some of the worst pellets on the market, and the tomahawks doesn't seem to shoot well in any other brand gun that I've tried them in. Actually, Gamo pellets in general don't shoot well in anything I've tried them.
@xxcowboyjamxx11 жыл бұрын
thank you that was very well done . I was wondering as you were testing if each brand shared the same velocity and also if barrel temp had anything to do with the grouping? That is a sweet air rifle. I do agree that Hawk scopes are nice , I have a 2.5 x10 night eye with 6a reticule and the software is a must ..thanks again

for a cheap pellet the crossmens did pretty good i do alot of shooting and dont have the money to buy expensive pellets every time i get low on them and the crossmen premier hollow points work the best for me also i just use a cheap daisy powerline 880s so im not going to be setting any record shots but for a 45dollar gun i say its worth getting i could hit aspirin tablets from just under 20 yards away with it consistently i did add some weight to the front of it though and that helped it a lot

My Remington express XP tactical loves the predator polymag in 8 grain At 15 yards I get a group smaller than a penny and 20 yards I get the same group it starts opening up at 25 yards it’s the size of a penny at 30 yards it’s just one or two shirts bigger than a penny and so on my gun loves these pellets I also learned that if I want to transition pallets is to clean the barrel shoot a few trial rounds Because when the barrel is clean and less you run a few dry patches through the Acura she’s going to be a little bit all over the place and then you’ll notice the group starts Tightening up I don’t use Crossman premier pallets because they seem to coat their pallets with some weird greasy stuff that sticks in your barrel as well

I the Woods Walker version of this gun from PA . shot 737fps out of the box with .22 crosman hollow point premiers. Seriously I really wish you would say what head diameter these pellets are that you test,my experiance with the 22 marauder is they (I have two) will not shoot any pellet less than 5.54mm dia,the interior demensions are so large anything less than 5.54 will not engrave they fall thrue.The marauder 22 cal barrels are closer to a 22 rimfire. The pistol barrels must be the same way. The plating on the Beeman pellets must add to the dia.giving better accuracy.Great review!Thanks!

I'm interested in getting into the hobby. Previous experience with guns is kinda limited. Had an AK clone when I was in the army, that's it. The Benjamin Marauder pistol seems awesome! I want one so bad. But it's just way out of my price range especially with a pump and sights. So I think I will settle for a Marlin Cowboy BB gun instead. For now. Pretty opposite ends of the spectrum haha. But the size of the gun and ability to shoot multiple times without loading a pellet appeal to me in both.
