@@desertrose1226 No, I am an original fan of Benjamin's and The Cars, was a teenager when I first saw his performance of Let's Go, he was a legend to me the moment I saw THAT performance but when he passed away, I was so struck by grief ( as I also lost most of my family around that time and someone we loved dearly also died of pancreatic disease) and could not bear to listen to his music until recently when I was in a shop and Drive came on. I stood still listening, shivers running down my spine and knew I found my joy again in listening to him and was so thrilled to see so many videos out there. I still would love to see the performances all again and especially those days of when he was front man with the first bands before The Cars as I never saw these performances so I want to go back in time ( preferably with me being young again as well ;) ) I created a Facebook page with the name Benjamin Orr_Electric Angel Rock and Roller to honour his legacy and also to have one page where all the information , video links, interview links etc can be found, I worked on several pages for a Finnish musician friend for the last 7 years ( with his approval) and so I learned a lot and hope to make use of this in a way to truly honour Ben and hopefully not tread on anyone else's toes ;) Warmest regards from Tasmania, Tia :)

Tia Murrell I am so happy you're keeping his memory alive. Benjamin was such a darling. Unfortunately I don't use Facebook or any other social media. Only KZbin. It's unusual I know, and I'm still young, but I guess it's just how I roll! 🙂 I am thinking of creating a web page to honour Benjamin and his legacy maybe, I know I'd like to create a Rutger Hauer blog page too, as he's my fav actor..one day soon hopefully, just so busy...a lady called SweetPurpleJune already has a lovely site for Benjamin but the more there is out there, the better! @@tiamurrell963 Tia, I just read this & heard this Orrsome song for the first time. I am SO sorry you lost your family! Oh, my God, that is terrible. I lost my dear mother, my only true blood family, less than two yrs ago. I am only now starting to feel joy again. Much love....It is wonderful that we can connect from all over the world in our mutual love of Benjamin, & find we have other things in common (unfortunately inc loss & illness). He must have been a baby when he wrote this. Wish I could see a video of his first bands....He had his own sound. The more I hear his old stuff, the more I like him. Too bad Ocasek wouldnt let him write for the Cars. Ocasek was too conceited. But they were Co-founders...Maybe that's why some say he started to shy away and take his own transportation while touring...others say he was moody..I wish I knew why, so moody. .😔

Replying to salty lavender Ric always wrote for the group no matter which one it was. He was a control freak,and never considered Ben an equal , he liked his voice and his looks which could help the group. He traveled alone on the D2D tour because the group was breaking up and Ben andRic were barely speaking. He suffered from depression and his relationship with DGP was not going well . I think he just couldn’t cope with all that and he wanted to be alone. The last tour was not a happy time for anyone.

@@April-pw5ub Sadly. At least at the end Benjamin got to find some peace and happiness. Miss him badly. I'm just glad we have record and video of him. His South Station concert from 1995 was awesome and his Big People gig was amazing. There will never be another like Benjamin Orr. Rock star but down to earth guy.
