First time I have been really pissed off with Benji. That was a horror show way to end an already awful season and he didn’t even look angry or upset. Thrashed by second last at home. Proud of the so called effort put in and fighting until the end??? I guess three straight spoons and not making the eight for 14 years isn’t a big deal. What kind of example and benchmark is this setting moving forward. The fans and sponsors deserved a massive apology.

As a frustrated fan it was predictable from before the season started. At the very least Benji has owned his part and lets hope someone learns something from this and can do something with our new signings next season. We can only go up from here... surely

51 years I’ve been a propa wests magpies/ west tigers fan. I played footy for 26 years. Even in country footy we put in more effort than the tigers showed tonight. In its simplest form, a footy team needs to be able to catch, tackle, pass, kick and run. Maybe Benji could consider starting with the basics. Tackling and catching.

At the end of the day, Balmain are talking about potentially standing alone again. I think its time for that conversation to really become reality. This joint venture hasn't worked at all. The whole point of it was to make to great clubs stronger. Its in absolute reverse.

Has there ever been a team in sporting history that has always been a celler dwellar like Wests Tigers (Western Suburbs). 3 straight wooden spoons, haven’t made finals in 13 years, always been the laughing stock of the competition, they’ve had these “5 year plans” that have failed consistently, behind-the-scenes is always drama between players and the board. This team over the years has let go of a championship roster that could’ve won them a comp, players who have went on to other clubs and have garnered huge success. Like when is it enough, this team has succumbed so low that anything more is overkill or “stop they’re already dead”. I’m positive next year with the players they’ve signed they will build a stronger team and have a better season, and for Tigers sakes fans I hope they do improve.

Bigger picture aside, that was a pathetic and disappointing performance in front of a sold out home crowd to end the season, particularly given the circumstances and build up around “Spoonbowl”. To concede 60, it would have been nice for Benji to acknowledge the disaster this game was.

Just losing 18/24 games with nearly minus 300 points diff and being assistant coach 2years previous I thought his influence may have shown by now but at least he has won a hat-trick of spoons.

If the tigers train as hard as the dogs did last off season they will play finals next year. There main issue is obviously lackadaisical training standards compared to the top teams and that probably reflects from senior players after they were getting tapped on shoulders and shopped around early in season. That probably torpedoed there season

Always baffles me why nsw want another team when you have teams like tiger and eels under performing. Expecially tigers. If my club was getting the spoon consistently, It would be riots. 3 years in a row of wooden spoons would have ended me already.

And when we were really losing, I learnt to appreciate how good other teams were and then really started loving league. Benjis a young coach with a young team. Your expectations that babies can run before they walk needs fine tuning.

Agreed club is a shitshow. Have not made finals in 10 plus years and 3 wooden spoons. Look at dolphins 2 years in the comp and doing so much better. Tigers an absolute joke needs to make way for another team worth it
