@@auraknight98 @Auraknight98 You can do aerobatics so long as you have your basic PPL. But you can't preform in public shows. If you're near a congested area you'll want to get clearance from atc to give you what's called an aerobatic box, or just clear you for a certain altitude to play around in. If not in a congested area, it's good practice to announce your intentions to anyone on the frequency for your area, and always look out. Most instructors will have you practice spin stalls, which isn't quite aerobatics but they still require a similar amount of awareness for other planes.

its very simple to do actually. he just screenshotted a clip of the gopro, deleted the space outside and inside of it, then saved it as a png and put that on top of the clip with a zoom. if you watch it slowly you can see that its actually just a cut out that he zooms into. a lot of editing is just trying stuff out and doing stuff in all different types of ways and just being creative. another editor couldve chosen to use a mask tool etc. each editor has their own style and process. very cool!

I made a Cross Country solo from Enterprise, AL to Kinston, NC while in training at Ft. Rucker, AL. What brought back memories was the trips from Ft Hood, TX (Killeen, TX) to NTC Ft Irwin. We didn't ship our OH-58 Kiowa's but flew them out and back. That is some desolate areas, and we crossed the Rocky's at El Paso, and I will never forget, that was still way up there, with the snow capped mountains. Glad you are enjoying your aviation time, its great to see a young man enthused by it. I will follow your videos and see how everything turns out. God Speed and God Bless. Sincerely, Jerry

Looking up the price of the plane it's the price of a decent new economy car, plus fuel expenses, and flight lessons. It's not a hobby for an average person's wage.
@Rique_cent3 жыл бұрын
@@Tb0n3 Actually, it's a bit cheaper than u might think. He bought the plane for 40k, and he used about 350 gallons of fuel for the trip, which multiplied by the average price of fuel is 1400. Flight lessons are normally around 10k dollars, and with all of those added up, the price is around 51k. He is also 21, so he had 5 years to earn 10k each year (possible). Even if he didn't get all of that money, it's okay if he borrowed some money from friends and family, as it is likely that he'll sell it and buy a new plane within a few years, so he could still pay them back.

You don’t see any flying on KZbin similar to yours . I am sure you will remember the trip the rest of your life. For someone your age, it is quite an accomplishment. With the type of sport airplane you were flying , I would imagine you are constantly thinking and planning the next leg of your journey. In a larger airplane it would be no problem but you had many obstacles to overcome aside from a change of underwear! I take my hat off to you for such a great accomplishment. You definitely have a career in aviation awaiting, if you so choose. Great video and narration !

I can’t imagine how miserable it must be to fly that thing all the way across the country. The thing is so tiny and touchy on the controls, and I can’t imagine how tricky your fuel planning had to be given the fuel capacity on that thing. Flying an airplane like that across the country is definitely a feat above any other aircraft! Pat yourself on the back man! Respect!

The airport you stopped at in Meridian Mississippi is known as Key Field, named for brothers Fred and Al Key. They set a flight time record of being in the air for 653 hours and 34 minutes. They developed refueling techniques that their concept is still used today. They had cat walks made so that they could change spark plugs in flight. They took off on June 4 1935 and landed on July 1 1935. The flight was cut short because one of the brothers had developed a tooth ache that required a dentist visit. Here is a small write up about them en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Flying_Keys

You are one lucky guy to own a Pitts Special, with its iconic red and white color scheme, and your only 21? Damn, what a find of a lifetime! This is my Absolute favorite plane in the entire world, right along side to the WW1 planes, like the Eindecker! The only Pitts special that I have ever flown was an RC Pitts , of all different sizes, from a homemade micro balsa Pitts, which had a wing span of 7 inches, to one with a 51 inch wingspan! My all time dream, would be to own a real one. There are 2 questions that I would love for you to answer, 1.) is your Pitts a kit, and if it is, what is the manufactures name or website? 2.) if I may ask, how much did your Pitts cost you? Cause I wouldn’t even began to know what a Pitts like yours is even worth! If you don’t wish to let me know what you paid for it, could you at least give me a ballpark? Thank you so much for this amazing video, and for any negative comments and or negative Reply’s, I would feel so sorry to the haters, cause they are just DRIPPING AND OOZING with JEALOUSY ,and ENVY, and just can’t stand it, when someone is soooo happy, and has something that they don’t have. Don’t delete any negative reviews, cause people like myself love to read, and laugh, and see what an ass they sound like, and have nothing else to do, but sit on their mothers couch , and write hateful comments, to great people that have things they have worked very hard for. Bro you had underwear you had to wear for a week, cause you were flying across country in a plane that only had room for you and a bottle of water! The HATERS that wrote negative comments, also wore their underwear for a week , and probably longer, cause they were too damn LAZY to get off their moms couch, cause they couldn’t pause their D&D VIDEO GAME!!!! Peace ,and great flying in the future!

I have many hours in a Pitts, although most of that in a S2B. I was told by one of my instructors who also displays these that you never truly master landing one. One thing though, if you get the option of grass it might be a bit more forgiving for you than the tarmac. Anyway well done flying it all that way! It is probably one of the most uncomfortable airframe choices for long distance flying that I can think of. Now it's home I wish you many happy hours perfecting those aero's!
