I had the same fear about polar bears when I made a solo visit in August 2013. My only encounters with the wild in Longyearbyen were the wild birds, diving down on my head. The midnight sun was also a surreal experience, although it was noticeably colder than for you. Even in August I experienced light snow, and felt like a Scottish winter. The majority of the residents in summer escape to sunnier climates. I booked an excursion to visit the Glacier, but on our bumpy dinghy ride out (holding for dear life) they decided the rough seas were unsafe to continue.

Your driver, is he Pinoy? His accent gives out :) Good to see some folks on the very far side of the world :) Specially with 24/7 sunlight in the summer months!

I have never seen any travel video to the end before no matter how attractive they made the thumbnail look , but this one is just unique and "Regal". Yea that's the word which sums up this entire video - Regal.
