They get thousands and thousands of potholes due excessive heat and a sudden rain. Yes there are rains in summer but they’re super rare and because they’re rare the roads face a sudden temperature drop causing holes in the roads. London rains all the time but the English engineers know the stuff they should use to prevent as many potholes as they possibly can in Kuwait they use cheap materials that can’t handle the temperature drop which causes thousands of potholes in the roads.

While not Kuwait, I did visit Dubai and Abu Dhabi almost 10 years ago now and yeah the high heat even toward the tail end of summer for them (September) was still incredibly hot, let alone in your case going specifically *during* a heatwave. Such a humid heat too on the Gulf! I recall walking back to our hotel from the metro at Midnight after the malls closed and it was still nearly 100F / 30+ C. I wanted to walk on our last day there so I didn't use the pedestrian bridge to Dubai Mall. Instead I got off the Metro and walked to the Burj Khalifa instead and even that roughly half mile / 1KM left me dripping from head to toe in sweat despite only having a loose t-shirt and shorts on. There's a reason why you simply see no "Street life" in Dubai or these other middle eastern places during the day! But there, Mall culture is wonderful and it's so lively. The mall you visited was similar to Dubai Mall / Yas Island Mall / Mall of the Emirates. Great blog though for sure!

No you are wrong. 37 is the highest temperature in winter, in summer the average temperature is about 48 - 50° celsius (Sometimes it even gets to 55° on very sunny days

Really good documentary! It’s quite concerning about the rising temperature but Kuwait it’s a beautiful country with nice friendly people.

Kuwait has 0% humidity, which makes it feel much less hotter than a 40°C with 90+% humidity. Winters are also mildly warm, with cool nights. Extreme temperatures range from -4 celsius to 54 celsius
@r.a.64594 ай бұрын
No. Kuwait actually has 70%-90% humidity, which makes the heat far beyond unbearable.

@@slifer0081 remember: at 90%-100% humidity, any increase in temperature increases the "feels like" at an exponential rate. With climate change, Japan, India and Southeast Asia are susceptible to this "exponential heating".

@@r.a.6459 Absolutely, which is why equatorial rainforest climates will always be more miserable than hot desert ones. If you have air conditioning in kuwait, you still have 4+ months of the year for outdoor activities

I was in Vegas last week, 110+ degrees all week. It was unbearable, I only came out of my hotel after 10pm, and even then it was hot AF. I can't imagine living in a place like this, I would never get used to it.

I was in Cordoba, Spain a couple of years ago when they had a heatwave and recorded their hottest temperature ever recorded, of 47c . It was something else. You're breaking a sweat even laying on a sun lounger in the shade not doing anything. Sauna is probably the right word!

It was 40 celsius when I went to Sevilla and waiting at the traffic lights under the sun felt like a chinese torture so I can't imagine 47 degrees and even less the temperature in Kuwait.

You should have taken a white umbrella, in these extreme temperatures IF you decide to venture outside during the peak sun. In Saudi this is even more common. Wear complete covering clothing (so not in your T-shirt!) and a white umbrella...

I grew up in West Texas, it's a place that share's a similar high temperature(usually 102-120 depending.). But, I lived in a Desert, Humidity is often 0%. Places that are humid are so much worse as I recently discovered, I can't deal with the heat despite growing up in a Desert, I hate it lol From my experience, the Humidity makes it impossible for the Sweat from your body to evaporate and then be taken away in the air. It still evaporates but it has nowhere to go because the air is already so full of Moisture, so it sits with you and makes it hard to breath like your being smothered in just pure heat.
