You’re exactly right. I play trumpet and I’ve played this song before. I just don’t know how the drummers do it, they have such good talent.

some people don't seem to understand its an interpretation of a musical piece its not like this guy is saying this is exactly how its played there is no other way
@mitchlg5316 жыл бұрын
kellox steht im wald no it isnt. Bass drum is way to loud for the style, dame of the back beats rim shots he was play in the beginning are unnecessary, also he played the bass drum on 1,3 when the bass player was planing on all 4s. Hi hat technique was meh, (the swooshing jazz sound). Sometimes his posture is crooked. I can go on all day. I’m not trying to down on this drummer but the fact that you said it was perfect triggered me. No musician will be ever be perfect just probably better then us. every pro players have some spots they aren’t fluid at. For example Steve Gadd’s technique is physically incorrect. He is moving his wrist joint(the back of his hands facing outward at a 80% angle) vertically. Naturally your wrist is design to move (palms DOWN) vertically not palms away. I’m not saying I’m better than Steve Gadd(which I’m not) but no one is perfect. NO ONE.

Been playing drum's for 12 month's. - Thought this tune would be a walk in the park WRONG. See folk play it all so differently, I got very confused. In the end I just got close and began to loosen up and feel the 'Swing'. I'm 60 so learning seems to take me longer. Played bass since I was 17 though. This was a fabulous find - thank you Sir.

SUPERB! I'm teaching my 2year old daycare babies this. We call it the 'Elephant Birthday Party' song, pretending they're late for the party, gotta run! Don't forget the present! Remember your invitation - they won't let you in without it! I narrate them through a jungle warning melted ice cream if you don't run fast enough! Glad to have found this version!!! They bang on pots & buckets & think they're this good! 😀😁😋😺☺️

I love that you did your own thing! It was great. I could feel the burn at about 4 minutes in your left leg. It's a tough song and that constant hihat for 5 and half minutes just turns your leg to jello.
