Haha. The first time I discovered Benny Greb he looked like this...a high school science teacher. Glasses and hair. I was like “who’s the geeky looking guy”? Then I heard him play...the rest is history. He’s now one of my favourite drummers/musicians. Brilliant.

Don't know if it's just me, but every time I listen to Benny Greb perform a song, I feel like that particular song acquires something special. He brings soul to a song, and he's one of my favorite drummers so far.

The hardest question to answer for me is "what's your favorite drummer?" And I find myself saying Benny Greb probably 75% of the time. That's a seriously big deal! Given that there are so many amazing drummers out there. But there is something about Benny that takes his playing to the next level. I think is his incredible personality that shines through his beats.Thank you Benny! You inspire us more than you will ever know.

Everything about this piece is ridiculously good, Benny's playing, the organ backing, the tempo changes. And the guitar solo that has such a nice development that brings the song to another place for a bit, then comes the wacky part at roughly 4:00 mins with the drums and guitar playing around while the organ just keeps grooving like nothing happened. Simply perfect.

I just found out about this drummer a few days ago... I find many really good drummers to be boring because they don't groove or they don't focus on it. I love how that is benny's thing, the groove! I'm interested in learning more and watching his dvds

+Peter Staubs once you start watching and learning from Benny, well at least for me, I found a lot of other drummers hard to watch. Chops don't really impress me anymore, groove and pocket playing does now. His Art and Science of groove dvd will really open your ears to new drumming
