slower, and longer - the average passes had a longer distance which unfortunately allows for easy block flicking. Keeping the ball tighter shorter and flicking faster leads to better results as long as you can control the ball at those speeds and have a light touch

I really want to love Subbuteo. But I just cannot get into it. I love everything around it, the layout, the goalposts, the competition, the meeting up with other people, beautiful stadium models of people. But the actual playing rules are just not fun. If it was more chess-like and the ball was smaller, instead of flicking you hold the head with two fingers and strike the ball that way, rather than flciking...i dunno....i just really want to love this game but i cant. thoughts? happy new year for anyone reading this, 2025 already jees.

extreme pitch is the best, faster and slides more and is not sensitive to humidity
