How cool is a striped pitch? You used to be able to DIY on the original FELT pitches. I used a broken plastic ruler, smoothing the felt one way, and then the other in 1.5 inch strips.

If you / we want to attract youngsters and women to join and invigorate Subbuteo before it dies to old grand dads, then... 1. Keep going Danielle !!! 2. Intro youngsters under 15 to do a segment 3. Why not show Goal of the Week as in the Premiership, rather than decades old irrelevant (even though brilliant) games of the past. THINK ABOUT WHO YOU WANT TO ATTRACT. Same problem on facebook. most Subbuteo channels are frequented by sad old blokes who are now able to afford a man shed in the garden and build a stadium. No relevance to the today's generation.

Thanks Ian. Agree with your comments. The key is balance though. We old cackers like a dedicated programme too and there is nothing wrong with nostalgia or trying to encourage original players back into the game. However you'll be pleased to know our first youngster will be guesting in the October Edition - and he has a few opinions to share!! Thanks for commenting. Cheers Keith
