17 years! As an ex-actress it was a pleasure to hear the way he applies his theatrical knowledge to how to communicate. I myself am at a turning point in my life at 62 years where I can't "pretend" any more. I probably haven't got 17 years to adapt my means of communication...but good to see s.o. who has trodden the path.

This will no doubt be great to hear. I am so sick and tired hearing masculinity be conflated with toxic and is so common in today's society. Masculinity is what prompts a man to hold the door open for not just a female, but for others who would be convenienced by it. Masculinity is what asks the man to walk on the side closest to the street, when walking with his loved one or passing the opposite direction of complete strangers. masculinity is what directs a man to step in between a threat and his wife, sister, mother or daughter, regardless of how dangerous that threat might be. Masculinity is what DEMANDS a man jump out of a small boat into a hail of 50mm machine gun fire to storm Normandy Beach on that June day in 1944. It is infuriating to see how it has been attacked, when the world would still live in huts, were there no such thing.

Masculine men bend over to pet the kitty on the sidewalk whereas the woman will curtsy.

Thank you for these excellent videos. Please consider making them approximately 30 minutes or so. The content would be more likely to be shared and viewed. You are doing a great public service. And I love how the name of your channel is a double entendre.

Thanks for your feedback and the suggestion. I've been trying to keep all the videos to about 1 hour, but I will take that into consideration.

@@theradicalcenterplease please keep them even longer! I dont agree with the previous comment at all. Love your content and I could listen for hours. Others can perhaps take it in two parts, listen to half a bit later. Please don't be pressured by comments lime this.

@@theradicalcenter A lot of podcasters issue clips of longer conversations...perhaps that would be a solution? Although it probably takes a lot of time.

28:00 i can confirm Leslie's idea as both a former porn addict and now as a recovery journey coach, it does go that way, just as most addictions do. Chasing the dragon in porn means going down some dark rabbit hole whether younger, furries, odder kinks, violence, bondage etc. Just always further from the norm

Yeah. The communication age combined with free speech is a blessing, and a curse. I reckon we could all do without most of the curse. 🐿

This guy is legit. I know about that playboy/hustler study he was talking about. I think it was actually mostly about Hugh Hefner. A big problem with adult material like p0rn searching is the trick of making the typical content be: artificial, ugly, unfeminine, granny, scrawny, etc. Then the guy has to SPECIFY young. The women have no neoteny. The way to find feminine women without: tattoos; short hair;dyed hair; piercings; false breasts……the punter has to type ASIAN and TEEN.

There's a combination of variables to separate here, adolescents accessing porn sites needs to be policed way more. The porn industry needs to be regulated way more. Sick ppl will always gravitate towards sick content, also plenty of women are exploited by this underregulated industry, who don't want to be involved. However, on the other hand, a relatively small minority of women are high in a trait called sociosexuality. These particular women often actually WANT to do things like porn. This can involve a symbiotic relationship: it's not true to simply say, porn increases criminal activity (depends on type of cirme, and total numbers suggest the opposite). There's evidence that rates of crime committed by young men (early adults) who would typically commit most crime, but instead have access to porn, are way down for this reason. Ppl didn't have access to porn in the past, but young men also committed lots of crime in the past. Personally I don't have a problem in my own life, as far as getting caught up with porn, drugs, or criminal activity. Doesn't mean I have zero issues, lol. My thing is probably more like anger management, although I wasn't that bad, zero violence. (I could definitely be a passive aggro dick at times in the past). A good rule of thumb is always to not blame anyone/anything for your issues, and take control of your own life, in a manner of speaking. With that said, I've pretty much always been more of a "school type," as per the neologistic colloquialism, and schools/colleges have been completely corrupted in my time (I'm 32). Addictions have less power over ppl when there's a healthier society in which to participate. This is a good episode overall, although I tend to be more interested in content that attempts to diagnose the root causes of our broader sociocultural degeneration and malaise. This is going to seem completely rndm, but recently I started learning how leaded gasoline might have driven a couple generations completely insane, starting with Boomers and peaking for Gen X. I'd heard this point mentioned in the past, but we've recently become more aware, and I myself have recently learned, abt just how significant this variable actually was. (I happen to think Gen X is mostly awesome, but if that has a lot to do with how they became physiologically damaged and depressed enough to produce great culture and artwork for catharsis, that would be dark af). A similar consideration for more recent generations might involve phthalates, although probably to a lesser extent. An excellent guest for this channel would be Shanna Swan.
