This helped me a lot. I have Edgerouter X and UAP-AC-LR. I didn't realise that I could use the AP POE injector into the Edgerouter. I'm now running scenario 1 and extremely satisfied.

Hi , thanks for video , l have a second scenario on my home , but when e reboot edgreouter , UAP is not working , no light , than l login to gui edgrouter to enable again poe ?!

Hi man, nice description. I am trying to achieve scenario 1. Where I have EdgeRouter X powered by power plug and injector goes to eth0 and using eth4 as an PoE out does not wake up UniFi AC Long Range. What else am I missing. I have enabled PoE passhtrough in the EdgeRouter WEBUI, still.. nothing is happening. And the UAP with only injector wakes up without any issue.
