Great and helpful review man!! Im looking to upgrade my monitor (to use it on a gamming basis but also for designing and programming) and this seems like the perfect choice. I have one question. As a gamer, has been enough for you with the frequency rate this monitor offers (I think 60Hz to 75Hz) to create a fluid experience? Thank you! And again, great review!

I'm buying a 4K moniter but For some games if my PC can't handle it, I would play on 1440p.

I have a gtx 1070 ...will this moniter be good .....I mean will 60hz be enough and also can I over clock it and if yes then to what extent?

Don't think you can overclock it, if you can it's definitely not a popular overclock and I don't recommend it. I'm using it with my GTX 980 and it's fine for now, but if you wanna go above 60hz in the near future you'll want to upgrade. It really just depends on how much you wanna spend. The 1070 will produce amazing graphics on this monitor, but you can always improve.

This will be ok for gaming? I don't care about it being 60hz. Putting together a new PC with 2600x and RTX 2070. I do mainly audio work and gaming. Also last question, can you turn off the speakers? Wanted to get a 1440p monitor now and then a 4k one in a few years. Cheers on the review!

For 1440p, did you use HDMI or DisplayPort? Also, which one would you prefer?

stalkerlohh because display port is just better overall. it can also delivers sound to the monitor, for which HDMI cant. I think most recent GPUs don't have HDMI ports???? and they only have display port??? not sure. finally, HDMI cannot go higher than 60 Hz if you overclock.

I don't really see how monitors can be any better for RPG's specifically, what features exactly are you talking about?

Zach Ferree well 144hz monitors are better for competitive gaming where a good reaction time is a must. IPS panels deliver perfect color accuracy for a more immersive environment in RPGS and 60 Hz is enough.

Great Video, thanks! Sadly about a year later, with the same question of 1440 or 4k, i come to the conclusion that 4k gaming is years away.

I really want to game in 4k, but I want to game at higher than 60HZ refresh rates even more which makes me lean 1440p. However, I want to start filming my videos in 4K, which brings me back to the 4K monitor. I just don't know lol.
