I disagree of not being 4K is a big downside. For most users 4K is not needed. 4K in the average home environment is unnecessary to have a fabulous movie experience. Too many factors nullify the the need for 4K. Just my opinion - your may very.

Solid review. Big fan of this projector, my expectation was that i was going to be underwhelmed, not even close. Way more than my expectations, and when people see it they are blown away with how well the picture quality is. All be it, always better in a room that you can control light, even thought its super bright.

I have -- and love -- an Optoma HD142x, but I keep hearing that the BenQ's RGBRGB colour wheel makes it a hands-down winner for movies. My issue is that I also use my Optoma as the display for my computer, which means a lot of text against white or light backgrounds, where the higher lumens (vs the BenQ) might make a big difference. What do you think? Can I use a BenQ as a computer display, or will I miss the Optoma in that application?

How loud is the fan ?

I can get a Epson 5020ub for $450. Comes with an extra bulb, and two 3d glasses. 320,000 contrast. Only 2400 hours on it, but 10 years old. Would the Epson be worth it, or buying this benq newer?

Nice review! One question about where to put the projector, is it ok to put this projector at the level of the center of the screen? I noticed it's been putting on the level of the bottom of the screen for the most of reviews.

@@robertoperez2222 cool! I had it in my cart waiting for it to drop further but I couldn’t justify 1499 for a casual bedroom setup so I went for the ht2050A instead, I hope it will be sufficient, I’m coming from a cheap “dbpower 8,000lm” projector

@@willng34 i know the price is high but it's worth the investment at the end i was most interested in the life of the bulb is like 25,000 hours or more and that it was 4k. It doesn't have 3D that i know of but 3D strains my eyes so whether it has 3D or not is ok. Now i have to send a monthly thanks to my Mastercard 😃🤣
