Major issue I have with this review was the amount of time you spend talking about off-roading when this is not designed for that. This is clearly a city scooter for city use on paved roads. But you wasted a bunch of time describing how it's not for off-road.

Seen a few reviews of this mention the steering has no stabilizers. I had a GT1 briefly, had to return it because as it turns out, it was just far too bulky and heavy for my commute use. But I did take it for a spin before returning it, loved pretty much everything about it, desperately wished I could've kept it, but the steering was a bit off-putting for me which no reviewer seems to talk about. Are you sure there is no stabilizer on this thing? When sitting still it feels and lightly sounds like I'm fighting against some opposing force. And when I'm in motion, that tiny bit of opposing force delays my ability to make small adjustments on the road, often resulting in hitting potholes I could've easily avoided on other scooters. I suspect if I'd kept it longer, I'd get used to it and learn to live with it, but in my 1-night ride the steering was quite off-putting and made the scooter feel even bigger than it already is. How are none of you guys picking up on this? Granted, I've only had experience with a total of 3 other modern commuter scooters, so it may just come down to me not being as well-ridden as you KZbin reviewers.

GT series provides 11-inch by 3.6-inch tubeless tires. I think these are the biggest scooter wheels that Segway makes so its a good start. anything less than 11 inch's is to small for urban city riding because of the potholes.

There is something that happens when i ride my segway gt2 scooter that i have not noticed to such a great degree, before. it seems children absolutely love the segway gt2. and i mean children that can just start to walk, all the way up to pre teen age, and including children, and adults, of all ages. they look and point and smile and tell their friends to look, and tell their parents to look, and they wave. it is just a delight, to brighten up the day, for those that just love to see this scooter. and truly, this scooter is a joy to ride! segway really went above and beyond with this scooter. there is still huge room for improvement: 1. we need fast fast charging. not slow fast charging. presently, two chargers providing a total of 4 amps to the battery takes over 7 hours to charge. we need at least two five amp chargers, and preferably, fast fast charging which would permit the scooter to charge up to at least 80% within one hour. 2. a much much larger capacity battery. presently, the battery is only 1512 watt hours. this is highly insufficient. i need at least 3000 + watt hours of battery capacity. 3. this scooter needs to be a little faster. there are many super scooters that can reach 60+ miles per hour now. come on segway, you can top that speed! 4. higher voltage battery: this battery is only 58 volts. the chargers charge this battery up to 58 volts. the wolf king gt, wolf king gtr, nami viper (high voltage version) dualtron thunder, dualtron storm and many more, charge the battery up to 84 volts fully charged. that is a significant difference. segway note that the voltage was kept low for safety. what does that mean? i feel very safe with my 84 volt fully charged scooters. higher voltage would permit greater speeds, and greater range and greater efficiency as well. 5. i need a seat as an option. i like having the ability to add a seat, if and when needed. the segway gt2 does not presently have a seat option. this is also important to me. the wolf king gt pro offers a seat option. many of the dualtron scooters offer a seat option. note: i think it is very important to take the very best of each scooter company, and add these features and abilities to your specific design scooter. i still like the segway gt2. its a great scooter, and i am very excited to see the future of segways super scooter designs and abilities/capabilities. thank you for a great video!
@americatheblind5820 Жыл бұрын
I ordered this scooter and had the delivery company call me to set up delivery time... But I declined it because of the reports of the clunky front end (which Segway says is normal apparently) and the surprisingly small battery and voltage setup. Why oh why Segway did you not go with min 60v (preferably 72v setup) instead of a 52v for your flagship model? Make it 72v and max speed of 55-60 and your in business to be leader of the pack!

I can’t speak to the build quality as I haven’t put my hands on one but the reviews seem to be great. I know Segway is great as I’ve bought two but assuming the the build quality is there the Inmotion smokes this thing in every category with the exception of price unless you preorder the Inmotion in which case it will be $3500 before release which is 24% off of the retail price. A $3,500-$4,000 scooter should be able to do at least 50-60 mph even if you don’t ride that fast. This top scooter needs a better top speed. Should be $2500 to $3000.
@gtone339 Жыл бұрын
70 kph is fast enough, but I get ya you prefer something that goes 100 kph lol thats too dangerous for a E-scooter
@Rezak877 Жыл бұрын
There, in addition to the maximum speed, there are problems in the form of narrow stators of 4 cm, which overheat from such power, a small battery capacity ... the problem with the knock of the shock absorber seems to have been eliminated by replacing it with a slightly different one. Also, you can’t put PMT tires, although this is no longer such a big drawback, the ground clearance cannot be changed compared to the same inmotion. A scooter for an amateur, that inmotion rs is a little better in many things and I think now this is the most balanced scooter.

Other people bash it for not having the best specs, but specs don't matter when your shitty AliExpress BMS dies on the way to work.
