I love mine here in Vegas. I got the megatron edition. It gets me from a to z with no complications when I avoid the terrible streets. It rides smooth as most bus lanes are also bike lanes. A lot of compliments and same old question "how fast does it go". The speed limit of 25 on eco, so no need to worry of being pulled over. I ride it to work, which is mostly on the strip or the festival lot. The charge is never a problem as it utilizes 2 charges. I get to take it into most stores or leave it at the front with it armed and connected to my phone. Yes, it wont stop it from being stolen but it will alert people to look at it when it is going off. I recommend this scooter to anyone with the money for it. Ride safe and enjoy your scooter.

Vegas has a 25mph limit on scooters? Interesting. Segway's a great machine, but with 25mph limit, you could get a much smaller, lighter scooter - unless you're a large person who needs the excess power of the Segway. I'm 200lbs & find my 1200w per wheel Apollo Phantom to be sufficient in accelerating up steep hills, etc. The Segway seems to have way more watts per wheel than all the others, including scooters that are considerably faster. Segway could have used 1500w per wheel for the same performance, it seems.
@acwarf394610 ай бұрын
@@OhGawdHesGotAGunhey the GT2 has 1500w each wheel. Just have had mine for 3 weeks now. I also have 2 Kaabo Wolf King GT pros those have 2000w motors each wheel, I would have been happy with segway GT2 but took too long to produce. Btw the wolf kings will go 67 mph, too much power for most. I am a scooter hobbiest and have own 7, only 5 now😂. ❤land surfing, be safe be seen🤩🛴💨🤙👍
@OhGawdHesGotAGun10 ай бұрын
Thanks@@acwarf3946 , been scooter obssessed lately, only started looking into them seriously last Spring. I learned lately that watts per wheel doesn't matter much, yeah. It's up to the controller as to how much it draws from the battery to send the motors, as you obviously know. I thought it meant total possible power according to the throttle & ride mode. I did see a few reviews saying the Segway is the fastest acceleration up to about 40mph but it's artificially "cut off" at around that speed - far slower than it's capable of. Two reviews said it's 3000w each wheel, so maybe it was a special edition. On the 10" tires on my Apollo Phantom, I find 60km/h (40mph) to be fast enough. I've had it going 43mph but with no steering damper & those wee tires, I'm going to upgrade to possibly an Apollo Pro (12" tires, IP66). Ideally I'd like a Nami Burn-E2 Max due to the great reviews it's had from some of the people I respect most in scooter land. I'm in the "rather have higher speeds than I need but rarely use them" category. My scooter spends most of its life between 30 - 35mph, but given a sturdy frame, dampers, suitable tires & smooth road, you bet I'm gonna try for top speed! I grew up riding motorbikes so I've got that same part of the brain you've got, lol! Thanks for the info!

I’m thinking of pulling the trigger on the GT two. Do you still love your GT two and is it still doing good? No problems or anything
@Timo-Epis11 ай бұрын
I'll explain it once more about the dual motor efficiency thing: to reach a fixed amount of speed you need x amount of power. So for cruising at 10 mph you need 100w, for cruising at 25 mph you need 300w (let's keep the ground we are riding on out of the equation). In some scenerios 1 motor pulling 300w for doing 25 mph while if we used 2 motors it's possible we only are pulling 280w total.This is because motors have a efficiency range where they perform in the most efficient way. This means that some motors draw more amp and waste more energy as heat to reach the fixed speed. This is plotted on a curve. Each motor has his own efficiency "height" depending on the RPM. So to conclude, it depends on the motor they use.
@OhGawdHesGotAGun3 ай бұрын
My first scooter, a 2022 Apollo Ghost, I'm ~190lbs, and one rear wheel engaged was all I needed to cruise around, but where it lacked torque was when it was my turn to go through the 4 way stop - I have a thing about not holding up traffic. If I'm in a crosswalk, I'll hustle a little if I'm holding up traffic there. I'd switch to 2-motor, get through the intersection, then back to one motor. From the advanced settings available in higher end scooters now, you can configure a LOT of motor behavior. Something's still missing for me, I think we should have more innovation - I want a thumb throttle like I have now, but with some kind of level-resistance - like it makes a slight tactile 'bump' when passing a certain threshold - and incrementally applies throttle in 'notches'. There should be a tactile gradient on the throttle that can handle several riding styles on its own. It keeps you from pressing too hard when you don't need to, but you don't have to change modes if you need to hustle for a few seconds. I think a controller should be able to choose which wheel gets the power in certain ride modes - like say it's raining, you can put up to 100% of the throttle to the rear wheel. If it's performance, it doesn't let the front wheel burn out too much. Could be 3 or four throttle increments - single motor cruising, temp hustle, max acceleration, even an overdrive - without changing drive modes - except for like I mentioned, rain/wet roads - but the same policies for throttle could be applied. And if a company tries to sell me a performance scooter that still uses P-settings, they can keep it. Create an app, any teenager can make one. I'm not trying to set a clock on a 1978 Dodge, give me a UI, lol.

i guess you really have flat roads and no wind, enough places where its barely going uphill and i require 400W to maintain 15mph (because i don't live in a country that's dozed flat) and don't weigh < 200lbs and get alot of counter wind
@teamsantis89652 ай бұрын
@@OhGawdHesGotAGun So does that mean the GT2 could go faster than 44 mph? Sounds like they have the power too just are electronically limited? Thoughts?
@OhGawdHesGotAGun2 ай бұрын
@@teamsantis8965 I read a bit more on the subject, but still don't know much about electronics. The wheels are able to push out a lot more power than they're given for sure. But that's more up to the battery, the voltage and the controllers. 44mph is pretty limited, considering the Nami Burn-E2 Max is of the same pedigree & price & it goes 65mph. I don't mind a company intentionally limiting their hardware out of respect to the dimensions/weight of the scooter not being safe above those speeds - it shows they're not just in this for the short haul to get money & delete teenagers. I respect Segway, they've been around a long time innovating - but my main gripe with their flagship scooter is, it's not even rainproof. It's too big, heavy and cumbersome to really be valuable. I had my 2023 Apollo Phantom going 71km/h (44mph), and I can fold it & put it across the back seat of my Subaru with the doors closed. The GT2 is a great scooter in many ways, but in others, it just makes no sense.

There's a guy that reviews them on the beach, he's always on the boardwalk - people just learned to live with them, they're not all up in arms about scooters on pedestrian paths. Only thing I'd worry about in L.A. would be getting it stolen. I like the Segway, that they're different & used their own design from the beginning - but two things that keep me from getting one - it's got the hardware to go a lot faster top speed, it's just tuned for longevity. Also, it's so incredibly big & bulky. Lastly, it's only got an IP54 rating, so it's not safe to ride it in the rain. Get caught in a rainstorm, you're risking a $1200 battery replacement that's not covered under warranty.

The weight is a significant factor for me. Additionally, better acceleration and agility with 133W/Kg compared to the GT2's 113W/Kg. Moreover, the 30Kg weight makes it much easier to carry and manipulate, and it can still reach a top speed of 43.5 mph (70 km/h). But, for a heavier person with a garage f.e., I believe the GT2 may be one of the best choices otherwise.

Now comes with a 5 amp charger? $2,500. . not bad.. Well it may be another manufacturer that had problems with the dual chargers being junk and now replace those with a single 5 amp one.. Not sure who did that.

i have just updated from a ninebot Max g2 to this GT2 and it has nothing to do in every aspect. th eGt2 perfromance and stability is more on the side of motorbikes.. you can use it in avenues and streets without any problem. you do not have those aceleration challenges you moght have with smaller scooters.

@@phototristan How often are you lifting your super scooter my guy? 70km/h is plenty fast and the build quality and bespoke parts top to bottom is a massive selling point. I have zero interest in those cheap off-the-shelf death traps like the piece of shit you suggested lmao.
