Ben, I have seen pinecones and other strange tree pods used. They make the most beautiful designs but you have to put a clear resin over it to close up the open wood. Trust me it will sparkle. 😊

I think this vase might be one of the most surprising final outcomes I've seen. Had no idea what to expect from turning pine cones, but the shapes and patterns and geometries are so cool. And oh my god, those colors. Like rainbow sherbet. And the blue fill in the cracks looks really good!

Hi Ben and Nicole. I’ve been watching for awhile. I love watching your process. A year ago I got put in a wheelchair and I’m having issues with many autoimmune diseases. I’ve been very depressed because I can’t use my arms very much because of shoulder issues and I have lung, heart and kidney issues but watching you both create brings back my excitement of yesteryears. I used to love to knit, crochet, made wood country crafts, and small furniture pieces like toy boxes and side tables. I made jewelry and I was just getting into resin art when my health got worse. Watching you both brings back memories of all the fun I used to have. Thank you for sharing your craft with us. These things you create are so cool. Needless to say I’ve subscribed to your channel because I don’t want to miss anything. Thanks again Sincerely Susan Roberts. 💝🥰🤗
