Love the idea! I know you've said you didn't want to use the vac chamber as not many people would have access to one, but I think a lot of people would love to see a uv only repair and a uv + vac repair side by side to see the difference. I know I would!

A few weeks ago I dropped my Apple Watch on the bathroom floor and somehow got a ~1 cm crack right in the *center* of the screen. I've been trying to live with it but it drives me nuts. I'm not willing to spend over half the cost of the watch on an official Apple repair (which is really just a refurbished replacement), but I'm a bit nervous about trying something like this. Then again, a) even if it wasn't perfect, it would be better than the crack I have now, and b) it would still cost the same to have Apple replace it whether I did the UV resin trick first or not, so… I think I'll go for it. Thanks for the demonstration!

Do you think this kind of thing could work on a scratched cd/dvd? I know nail polish can damage the plastic they use, and I have some old discs sitting around that just aren't worth it to professionally resurface... but something like this might be useful if the resin doesn't melt them 🤔

I did something similar with my windshield, except the kit came with small plastic sheets to cover the cracks as they cured, and then you used a razor blade to scratch off any excess after you peel the plastic sheets off. This way you get a nice smooth surface.
