@Mike Haduck Masonry If they laid the casing stones first & the core blocks later, how did they get the stones to the upper levels over the casing stones already laid? I don't think ramps over the casing stones are feasible, there's nothing to grip on, plus ramps obscure the view and prevent sighting to make sure the lines are straight.
@MikeHaduck Жыл бұрын
Hi Contrarian, any first year stone mason could see it a mile away, there are exceptions in cathedral and church work where it's artistic, but the pyramids are primitive, all my pyramid ,castle, great wall ,etc will tell you major thick stone work you work from the outside in, and most of the fill is filler pieces, thanks Mike
@contrarian8870 Жыл бұрын
@@MikeHaduck Mike, relax, re-read my question, then answer it properly. Your reply has no relevance to my question. I don't claim the pyramids were built by aliens, nor do I claim the core blocks are nicely done. I'm asking a a specific, technical question and I'd like a specific, technical answer. How did they get the stones to the upper levels over the casing stones already laid?
@MikeHaduck Жыл бұрын
Hi Contratian,,I grew up working with all the old timers who worked on the churches, wpa,railroads etc , plus union on skyscrapers ,etc plus all my work you see in my videos, first every project has a budget, what is the cheapest fastest way to get it done, all the outside stones were precut and my guess was a long ramp to the center, then push all the outside stones from the center to the outside, filling the center and raise the ramp, or they may have cranes similar to Roman siege machines, I remember an old timer telling me, the laziest guy finds the easiest way, and sure enough as they worked on these pyramids that's what happened, in my opinion the cathedrals are far more impressive, the pyramids are primitive, thanks Mike

If the downwardly angled casing stones caused the bent pyramid to be structurally unsound then I wonder if the designers could have successfully completed the 54-degree inclined shape had they opted to lay the casing stones flat, as with subsequent pyramids?
@MikeHaduck8 ай бұрын
Hi Rdeboer, -- masonry, engineering, architecture is and has always been trial and error, and a rule of thumb is if you want to find out the fastest and easiest way to do it, Don't ask the experts ask the laziest guy, he will find the easiest way to do it, from experience, thanks Mike

Note that most of the casing stone is still there. Other pyramids have cracks, they don't have angle changes. I don't think they ever intended to have a straight pyramid. The steep angle preserved the casing stones from looters.

Mike I like your videos I am also a bit of a mason and would like you to comment on the vases and the cisterns made of granite? Is this true they are polished inside and out? Is it true about the columns having a polished interior like bored hole? Also being a stone mason I do believe the precision in the joints is downplayed IMO. Come on you have to give credit where credit is due. At least admit that building these sorts of structures in the fact that they've stood the test of time however long it might be is a testament to the robust nature of building this way. I mean look at the Mongolian towers like in Russia where they twirl at the top that stuff is hard as hell to duplicate let alone come up with a dang idea.of course I don't think aliens did it what the f*** you know and there's there's crack pots out there I know there is but this is something else that stuff is very very impressive have you thought about the cities that are underwater? I see the cities underwater are bigger and better than the ones that we see above. are we better now or were we better then at building. I live in St George Utah when I see we build above ground and we use OSB you got to be kidding me we use styrofoam and then we put stucco on top of it come on that's just a joke we we suck at building all the sudden and you know if you're going to say this is no big deal well it's thousands of years later and you're looking at these structures and it seems that you should be in awe more than just saying oh it's no big deal I'm just saying I still think you do a damn good job and you know it's fun to watch you and I like to watch all angles. forgive me but I do believe that humans have been around and been a little smarter than most historians seem to want to admit. I think a big reason is the religions how we have Christianity and whatever and they want to say well everything started after this so-called flood and it's total b*******. I mean if you looked at it yourself you'd see that yes there was an ice age and yes the ocean did rise 30 ft in a day a few times and it was rising every year so many feet so yeah there was a lot of flood myths kind of go figure in the pyramids and the Sphinx and all stuff could be a hell of a lot older and yeah it was quite a feat to to build these things and once again no aliens didn't do it give me a break. I kind of like the idea the guy has that the Sphinx used to have a funny dog's head I can't remember the name of it and someone else said a lion's head but I think it was that dog's head I always looked at the Sphinx and thought that heads kind of small for that body anyway when was last time you moved a freaking 10-ton Rock just tell me probably never huh so don't downplay these guys too much they did pretty damn good I mean come on humility before honor and give them credit where credit is deserved whoever the hell made these things kicked ass and we still see thousands of years later stuff we make today you wouldn't see it 100 years later 200 years later end of story. Speech to text ain't too good at punctuating but oh well

Hi Alex, all those stones are far from perfect, and I don't think it took any longer to build then the empire state building, don't be listening to all those bedroom archeologist who never worked with stone or huge building projects, it's all common sense, thanks Mike

I thought i was going on the coal mine tour when you entered that pyramid! They build the corridors so small because they didn't figure the arch out yet? or were the egyptians just that tiny?
@MikeHaduck5 жыл бұрын
Hi demoman, I think your right on both counts, as a mater of fact there are not that many true Egyptians left in Egypt, that is what I was told, thanks mike

The thing I find so strange about all these pyramids is they are obviously not tombs there is no evidence of that and so what was their purpose? They built an awful lot of them to say that they were to serve no purpose and we don't know what their purpose was it remains an enigma.

What do you mean no purpose, the resting place of kings is not enough of a purpose for you?
@MikeHaduck4 жыл бұрын
Hi Mijemu, the whole giza all around Cairo in the sands is a cemetery nothing but tombs , graves and pyramids, even the great pyramid has a sarcophagus in it. Lots of these bedroom archeologist never been there, thanks mike

@@MikeHaduck the burial ground is in the valley of the kings. Has nothing to do with the pyramids as far as i know and there is no coffin in the great pyramid it isnt big enough for a body now or then, I know some people believe the pyramids are a grave site but its a bit ridiculous if you ask me.

What, for revealing the secrets of the pyramids or from hostile forces in the area?
@MikeHaduck5 жыл бұрын
No, but it is definitely a different culture, and if you never been there before it is best to hire a guide, I would go back to the same place next time, thanks mike
