a perfect comparison because everybody has heard people talking about the Intense but barely anyone hypes up the original in comparison. In my position I've tried neither of these fragrances but after hearing what you're saying I'd probably start out with the original with its spicy touches and maybe if I like it I'd try out the Intense with its more "aggressive" boozy smoky touches. A much needed video!! The only experience I've had with Bentley is their Azure fragrance which is a mediocre, cheap smelling blue scent imo.

Love Bentley for Men Intense, i have two bottles of 100ml, great for Fall/Winter 🍂🍁❄. The two are very great, imo Bentley for Men for daytime and the intense version to use on nightime! Two great options Quality/Price. Great video Ross!!! Regards.

I just got Absolute today making it the 4th in my collection from this line. I've been going back and forth on whether to get the original and your review helped me make a decision. Yes 👍. For the reasons you stated you liked it over Intense. I plan to get Silver lake for the Spring. My favorites in my collection. 1. Azure 2. Absolute (this is after it's first wearing) 3. Intense 4. Black Edition. I like them all for different reasons. I love this line!

i bought the intense version earlier in 2020. i agree that it's not for every situation. i'll typically only wear it when i'm dressed a little more rugged, like boots, denim, belt and flannel shirt with some facial hair. Or, with a leather jacket on top. After watching this video, I may want to try out the regular version as it seems more wearable and spicy which is actually what i prefer.

A tip for longevity on any cologne... apply moisturizer on your skin let absorb , tben apply your cologne, that adds 3 to 4 extra hrs. It works for me.

I got Intense as a blind buy based on reviews. It smells nice, but I don't wear it much, don't feel like it's for me. "Spicy" sounds more appealing. I would've assumed the original would be *less* spicy than something called "intense." So, right there your vid helped tell me 2 things. (1) the original may be more what I'm looking for and (2) the Intense deserves some of the attention it's getting, but the original doesn't deserve to be overlooked. Thanks for that!

I blind bought Intense a few weeks ago after reading all the good reviews. At first, to my nose, the opening smelled like cough syrup. Definitely not a scent for everyone, probably polarizing. It gets better after when it dries down and after wearing a few times. I ended up selling my bottle, but I was starting to like it more. I might get the orignal or another flanker. I had a similar negative reaction to my blind buy from Amazon of BFM Intense. I had to sell my bottle too. I purchased a decant recently to see if I still felt the same way and although I would not wear this fragrance, it did not come across as bad the second time. I also sampled BFM Absolute and BFM Black Edition and both were more wearable than BFM intense for me. I have now ordered a bottle of BFM (original) and hoping that one hits my sweet spot! I must admit I love the bottle and presentation of these fragrances and am wanting one bottle in my collection in large part because of that.

I wish this was my case with Bentley intense, i have a dry skin and this stuff last on me 1-2 hours. To bed since i really love the smell, i will try Bentley absolute hopeful will get better results.

The problem is not in the skin! The new editions of Bentley For Men Intense have nothing to do with the old ones. The old lots have four and seven digit codes, and the new nine digit digits. Those with nine digits (like the bottle in this review) are of much lower quality, worse performance. Projection for only about an hour, then it becomes very close to the skin, and after about 3 hours it completely disappears. There are already several suggestions for fragrantica, the reviews for the new batches, to be written in a separate section, because, although they have the same name, they are very different from the old ones, thus people get confused.

I blind brought Intense and hated it, a big mistake for me, I found this way too aggressive and harsh smelling, I prefer something with just a touch of sweetness and more wearable, so blind brought the original and I love it!

I live in a warm country, so the Intense is too much unless it is peak winter. I find the Original to be so much more easy to wear in the evenings throughout the year & in the day during winters & rainy season.

Interesting comparison. I recently bought the original For Men, as incense in men's colognes can give me a headache. However, wow, it is REALLY boozy. It is really strong. I did two sprays, and like you said, it lasted ALL DAY. I'd be interested to give the Intense a try, but probably won't, at least until/unless I finish off the original.

Ross, your fragrance battle videos are done right! Almost every one I've see are between 2 unrelated fragrances. Waste of time! They're probably are both great in different situations. I want to see how 2 similar fragrances, or an original and a flanker, or 2 flankers compare. There's where the real benefit comes in. I love Bentley for Men Intense, but I appreciate your take on the original. Thanks! Looking for ideas? I have bentley for men.. I enjoy it for wearing it at work.. 2 or 3 sprays last 12 hours.. Winter and fall.. My friend at work got the intense.. I found that to be similar but a bit more floral

I was expecting a pure masculine caveman type since I have bentley for men and this was this intense.. I think the bentley for men is more masculine.. I know cumin isn't a described nite but it has a cumin vibe for sure which to me makes it more masculine than the intense.. Might not last as long or project as the intense although it's very close but to me definitely more masculine

I’m coming back to say the Intense that tried today went flat on me. Best I can describe is it lost its Spiciness. Reminds me of like a crown and coke that went flat and lost it carbonation crisp bite. Still a beast but after the 3 to 4 hour mark I fell out of love.

I own both n' hv gotta say for the first 5 seconds you can't tell them apart. But then that subtle class of Bentley for men kicks in. if I were to buy just one it'll be the intense even tho I love it less than the Bentley for men.
