Greetings and many thanks for your informative videos!! I have decided to officially ditch shampoo altogether!! I used kaolin clay on my hair because I could not find bentonite clay, tried it out for the first time , and I was really amazed at the results!! No frizz whatsoever and moisturized, which I lacked as I live on an island which has high humidity!! Good bye shampoo!!! Blessings to you!! 🙏🏼👋😊

It is my understanding that Bentonite Clay is a substitute for a wash. After you do the Bentonite clay treatment you are to deep condition after. I just do not want you to make your hair very dry by washing and then doing the Bentonite clay as well.

I see that you used water and apple cider vinegar with your Bentonite Clay. I have noticed that girls on other videos use Raw vinegar in the Bentonite Clay on dry hair, then they deep condition their hair afterwards, which gives them a more defined curl. Your hair looks great with the solutions that you used. Just a Tip from watching other videos.

Is it safe to use this as a detox for exposure to potassium sorbate, PVP, and EDTA? My scalp is irritated so I washed my hair (went to the doctor already) but I want to detox.... don’t have to answer, I know that could be a liability issue lol. Just curious to know if it’s sounds like a bad idea 😅

It just defines your curls. So I'm not sure about healing properties. However, solid advice, nothing can revert hair damage. Once the hair is damaged, it is damaged! There are temporary fixes like protein treatments, but you're only hurting your overall hair health by hanging on to damaged hair.

+Praise Onaturals yea it makes your hair really soft... and if you have low porosity hair it allows your cuticles to open up to let moisture in... there are some youtube videos on it too..
@akeyajohnson1065
@akeyajohnson1065 8 жыл бұрын
+The One Called RJ baking soda is not harsh on your hair... no more hash than any of the normal chemicals that are put in hair products... baking soda is natural.. its a different form of sodium... it can be consumed.. people put it in their food every day as well as brush their teeth with it every single day.... do some research of your own and stop listening to things that have no facts behind it
@artheaux666
@artheaux666 8 жыл бұрын
+Akeya Johnson No he is right. Please hold back on the saltiness simply because someone disagrees with your idea of "facts". Apple Cider Vinegar is very acidic and if it is not diluted it can disrupt the pH balance of your scalp impacting the way your hair grows and its overall health. Adding baking soda to this is VERY I'll advised. Absolutely do not do that. When combined it creates a compound that furthers the effects of the ACV and really mess with your hair. Diluted ACV is best, but in moderation.
@artheaux666
@artheaux666 8 жыл бұрын
+Praise Onaturals Do not listen to this girl. ACV as a stand alone rinse is a huge red flag. Especially combined with baking soda!

It’s a clarifier so shampoo . After the bentonite clay you apply a deep conditioner afterwards. No need for shampoo.

What's better for 4c, low porosity hair clay or henna??
@user-fo8lz6om7l
@user-fo8lz6om7l 8 жыл бұрын
F. Jones you're going to hate this answer but honestly you may have to try both love. I've heard mixed stuff about both. Some people say due to the heat your scalp produces the clay is VERY hard to cleanse from your roots. I've also heard henna can be drying so it's really up to what works best for YOU. I've yet to try henna but I've tried the clay. the first time I tried it with aloe vera juice (weirdly enough I can not STAND the scent of pure aloe juice so I'm trying the ACV this go round) I personally have had pretty great results with the clay though and I think it will be a staple for my routine.
@wb4882
@wb4882 5 жыл бұрын
henna is a protein treatment, and bentonite is more to clean. I'd say try both. But for me, I've used bentonite clay and it makes curls defined. henna didn't in my experience. however I could have been applying it incorrectly at the time

I guess I have to buy that brand of bentonite. The brand I bought is dark green and I am fully grey which I love. This clay is lighter so I'll change to that one. When you have grey hair you want to use white, or cream colored products as much as possible to prevent dullness of color.
