Hi everyone! In this video, I dive deep into the intriguing question: Do waves in benzodiazepine and antidepressant withdrawal always have a trigger?
This topic has puzzled me for years, especially given my own unique and very unpredictable healing journey. I explore whether waves are caused by identifiable triggers or if they can occur seemingly without reason. You'll hear insights into how known and unknown triggers impact the recovery process during withdrawal.
Have you experienced waves with or without clear triggers? Let me know in the comments-I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences.
If you're navigating benzo or antidepressant withdrawal, or just curious about the healing process, this video is for you. Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more content on psychiatric drug withdrawal, reactions & recovery!

Hello Melissa. Thank you for asking about me. I am doing relatively well for the most part. As I am navigating through this recovery journey, I become more and more aware of my central nervous system and how we are such an integrated beings who are affected by so many factors. My emotional, physical, mental, social, and psychological all play vital roles both subconsciously and consciously in how I am doing day to day. Sometimes when I overload on exercises, I get symptoms; when I get over stimulated from stresses I get symptoms; when I am doing well in all areas, I still get symptoms from delayed reactions or from unconscious thoughts which I didn’t process which led me to experience some weird unrelated to the present circumstances symptoms. I am learning to trust that I will be ok with time and just let the wave appear and learn to not to fret. I try to do the best that I can day to day by taking care of myself, eating right, trying to see the bigger picture, and enjoying the small things of life. Melissa, you are truly inspiring. I like the way you handle LIFE with all its flavors. Keep on learning and keep on being your unique self because you have so much to give to society. Sent from my iPhone

Melissa did you try hydroxyzine for your Akathisia ? If so did it help or worsen it? I’m so confused. Some days I feel it really masks it , some others it seems to worsen it. Please what is your experience ? Should I try Propanolol? Terrified of these meds withdrawals too

@@Qwerty-nm6qi hi I didn’t try hydroxyzine but I took propranolol for about 4 months and it really helped me personally. I took 90 mg

My symptoms are triggered. By doing something physical. I'm so physically ill I can't even go for a walk. Housebound. I got up and dressed the christmas tree for an hour, can't stand up that long. Stress and if I get upset about something also triggers. But it can get worse on its own too.

I’ve had several of those tests done the body just feels a lot more now like I said before we’re now X-Men we have a superpower we just didn’t want to be part of this X-Men. I even went to thyroid doctor and they kept trying to say that was bipolar because I would wake up with bad mornings but they’re idiots. My waves are triggered by thinking too fucking much. If I ignore shit I’m ok. Having hope I’d be ok. When I’m stressed from my ex I get super sick

Can I ask the average timeframe you’ve seen people heal in? I understand that’s a loaded question, as everyone is unique and their journies are different. But curious as to what you’ve seen first-hand in your work.

It depends a lot on their histories but i would say average that people "turn corners" is right around the two year mark, although that is not full healing.

My last wave I think was triggered by too much stress + hormones. Do you still have chemical sensitivity ? Is it something that improves ?
