I don't mean to sound discouraging but even after I finished tapering it probably took another six months to a year until I felt i was going to be ok. I would strongly encourage getting your vitamin D3 level checked. They will tell you 28 is "normal" but if having sleep issues, depression or anxiety you should be shooting for 40-80. Best wishes to you. I also had to sort all this out on my own with Heather Ashton's withdrawal manual.

@@avarismimi Oh no, I never stop taking it. It's been proven that some people it doesn't matter how much time they spend in the sun their body will never make enough vitamin D3. I took 10,000 units per day for about a month. By then my depression was gone and I was then able to get my blood checked. It was still kinda low around 40 so I kept taking 10,000 per day until I got up around 90 then I started backing off and now I do well on 4000 units per day. It is fat soluble so a person can possibly get too much but that really hasn't been much of a problem for me. Interestingly, the symptoms of too much vitamin D3 are similar to low levels so that can be used as a rough guide but blood tests are the best way to sort this out.

It was like trying to walk a tight rope across the Grand Canyon. Even if you gave me everything that I didn’t have, I would not be able to do that a second time. And I have had all these symptoms...at various intensities and I cried frequently. In the beginning I used to think I could make a work appointment but when morning came I'd stare straight ahead at a closet and within minutes I was on the phone texting the client to cancel. No way could I even fake it. No familial or friend support. I used to love my work but was unable to be whomever I WAS --- SO DEMORALIZING. I know what real paranoia is but this was different. I physically and mentally CHANGED and not for the better. Again, I had all the same symptoms--- couldn't learn any NEW thing. Or so I thought : I was ONLY COMFORTABLE IN BED , watching KZbin my only family. Grief, fear and bitterness because my needs had changed...and no one cared. They didn't care to know about me. And I was a Public Figure ! BUT I just finished a difficult move...and a year of Clinical Depression followed --- I couldn't believe I lived through Suicidality like I did. I still stay in bed till afternoon so I only deal with early evening which as they mentioned isn't as frightful. It takes forever to get dressed because I'm now very physically challenged...lost ability to walk normally and pain has to be treated. Horrific is right ! I really could write a book but when I talk about my life after and during the injuries I realize I sound NARCISSISTIC...a woman alone, with no husband, son, brother or boyfriend behind her and who's mental and physical health is compromised becomes an easy target for judgement, abuse and harrassment. Again, I'm not clinically Paranoid, but care enough for us all to fight. I could only reinstate a low dose, and that was a fight. My old school MD is finally aware he's being watched and is self protective --- no remorse .

Like you have found, it is a jarring change for me too, as I was a very active, well-known, sought out therapist in the legal world in my area in southwestern New Mexico.. Going on to law school when the shit hit the fan. To Zero, due entirely to Narcissistic abuse...long story.... Of course, blah, blah, blah. And I was a mess in need of some Major overhaul. Watch adding anything while destabilized in withdrawal. “Withdrawal” is brain change = brain injury being uncovered. 14 months are so short abd so long all at the same time. I'm not even talking about drugs or prescriptions but just in the context of getting your life "together" in the sense of health and training. (at my age) When you learn a new skill, 14 months in the context of 55 years old are obsessive for me, from the outside what it looks like to others vs how implementation of your new skills feel .. if I went backwards and quit the path I've been on for 2 and a half years and decided, my goals for improving my life weren't worth it, I'd be saying no to the gifts I gave myself, my health and getting over spinal stenosis symptoms... To just give up would be wrong. I'm never going to be 100% healthy, there's always going to be a weakness..and my skating has help improve my liife in spite of the issues. I'm doing things relatively drug free BECAUSE of skating.. when my sciatic nerve becomes inflamed occasionally I take one anti inflammatory medication, once.. but diet and exercise should never be underestimated. Take care everyone, continue to get better!⭐✨ Merry Christmas and a happy New year.

People usually like to drink coffee in the morning which is liquid acute stress. more often the not people have two cups of coffee by 10 a.m..... by the time five o'clock rolls around levels of caffeine have significantly dropped for the vast majority of people. This may be why symptoms improved by five o'clock and start in the morning. Caffeine has devastating effects on mental health and you only realize it after you quit for a month or two

@devonmahdi8067 I don't have the condition but wow, what a difference mentally. Things seem a lot less exciting and intense now and my mood has leveled out. I used to get into very stressful situations including fights with people on a regular basis and all that disappeared when the caffeine went. I even had a guy flip me off and charge at me and I just looked at him with disappointment instead of the usually heart pounding fight or flight response. My screaming kids don't bother me much any more and when my wife wants a fight, I'm level headed with no stress... Caffeine is liquid acute stress. Give it a try for 6 weeks and see what happens

My arthritis is almost gone and I no longer have stomach issues. I still am battling anxiety and depression, but it’s manageable. I’m able to somewhat interact with other people on a limited basis.
