This was brilliantly interesting, for some of us who love pharmacology, especially when it comes to these two drug groups. My dad's dad before I was born, killed himself with an overdose deliberately of barbiturate sleeping pills in the 60s, I believe it was Phenobarbital which is the most common at least today as it happens, and is the longest acting.

I’m mostly bedridden, but my situation is different from others. I have physical weakness by nature, so I’ve had torn ligaments and tendons due to muscle weakness induced by benzodiazepines. I tear ligaments and tendons easily. My body is as fragile as glass.

Interesting; I've been prescribed in the past; valium, klonopin and xanax. Now I've been prescribed klonopin for severe insomnia and anxiety. I recenty had to kick a serious 16 yr addicion to subutex so I was prescribed the clonazapam to help sleep and relieve the severe anxiety.

I hope you didn’t stay on that benzo long. Especially after just kicking subutex which is a nightmare. I jumped off 110mg of methadone cold turkey back in 2018. I withdrawaled for a month: I’m about to go through heroin withdrawal soon. It won’t be too bad cause I’ve only been on dope for. 2 months tops. Still going to suck. I’m getting a benzo from my Dr tomorrow actually to help my withdrawal.
