Nice review. The proximity sensor and sound pass through is welcomed, I had those features on my Plantronics BPs and it was great albeit with crappy material construction.

This is a great video. awesome! and uploaded just a few hours before i searched for a review. great job :) One question i have.. how is the comfort? i usually like bigger ear-cups and these seem kinda smallish I use a DT-770 from beyerdynamics right now, but might get some wireless for when im out. :)

got the H9 today cos it was cheap on Amazon warehouse (290€) and i cant get the smile of my face when i listen to them. i can hardly imagine there is anything sounding better than the H9. I actually love the boosted bass. can never get enough bass ;D is the bass on the h9i not as deep and strong? does the lack of APTX affect sound quality when listening over Spotify? also the touch controls work fine for me, except sometimes it starts to call people :D thanks and great review!!!

I tried them all and these are muuuuch better soundwise, I wanted to love the B&W but the sound feels far away due to their signature sound, it's clear, yes, but not my kind of sound, B&O has more trebble and high frequencies which makes it sound brighter, bose is safe, not that bad but not so good either, sony is just not for me, too much bass, not good separation between frequencies :/

I indeed share your input about the sound quality and the similarity of h6. I own both h9 and h9i in addition to h6. And I will say finally bo has made a wireless headphone close to h6. I have been waiting for these a long time. If you look for h6 wireless edition this is it and there named h9i

I really love everything about H9i except one thing that almost no-one mentions and I'm very curious why... These are quiet. Max volume is really not enough for me, bose in compare are about 25-30% louder... that's why I am going to return them. 580$ - that's the price in Poland. Too much for a headphones that need some loudness booster software. Or maybe there is so other way around...? This is really huge thing for me since I use over-ear wireless headphones mostly for sports and they need to bang! I love everything about my new h9i except of that and im really torn apart if should return them. Is it really regular?

Hope you don’t have a defective unit?also check your device and music app. Mine are pretty loud enough even for outdoor use but bear in mind These are not specifically designed for outdoor sporting activities as they don’t have a very tight grip 🙂

Bro, I have Bose qc35 and sony 1000 xm2. Thinking of getting another ANC headphones which is at par with the above but from a different brand. Would you suggest H9i or something else?

Yeah you can try h9i or senhiesser pxc550 they are both good. but for noise cancelling the qc35 and 1000xm2 or m3 are still slightly the best bet right now.

in terms of build quality & durability yes. the WH-1000XM2 is mostly made of plastic while the h9i is made of pure metal with an easily swappable/replaceable battery.

1000xm2 vs QC 35 vs H9i which one is best?

Depends on your personal taste and where your priorities lie (wouldn't recommend buying without prior listening as sound perception is different for everyone). Soundwise the xm2 have an emphasis on base, the qc 35 are a little bit more neutral (also a slight emphasis on base), the h9i are the "brightest", even a little too bright for my personal taste (especially when it comes to cymbals). All 3 are comfortable to wear, though (qc 35 take the lead in this area). The h9i's could be a little bit problematic for people with bigger ears, since their shape is round. NC-wise all 3 are o.k., probably Sony takes the lead.

Not sure, but probably because of the over sensitive proximity sensor. Alot of other people have mentioned the same issue with music pausing while listening.

Yeah, forgot to tell you the proximity feauture can be turned off. Just check the instructions that comes with the headphones.
