Personally, I love leather-bound books. I wish Folio Society made more of them… but not Limited Editions, please. Those books are simply out of my price range, beautiful as they are. Love the blue ink on this one. Nice touch.

Leather is by and large a byproduct of the meat industry that has historically gone to waste before. It's high quality and highly durable. I don't eat meat and I despise the meat industry but what I won't do is stay clear of a good sustainable material that is abundant, because of some trend. "It's 2023, you guys." What an appalling statement. You figured it all out and everybody else has to go "with the times", i.e live like you see fit. The times of mass production, green washed throw away items and virtue signaling. I have a book here that's nigh 300 years old and its bound in goatskin. I don't know what's going to happen in 300 years but I'm sure none of the synthetic items in your household and none of your trendy virtue signaling culture will be left. Possibly nothing will be left because our virtuous generation may have ruined it all until then.
