This song remind me off when I was 4 goin 5 my mom use to work at free port in mobay at the factory she use to get home from wrk late like 7:30 pm for me tht was late we lived in anchovy but we from Granville mobay n I would wait for my mother to get off a taxi by the train line ppl would warn my mom to tell me stay off the train track but I was smart as a kid to hear n see the train coming n move off the tracks we lived close to the anchovy high school down the street goin towards mobay less than half mile from the school n my dad ws in America I never use to hear from him for years it was jus my mom and I, I was the only child hearing these song kind a bring mi back to tht place n it will always stay wit mi cause every night I use to cry if I never saw my mom come home wit the taxi she did yesterday I never use to kno wat time it is but I use ppl tht she normally come home in the same taxi wit if I see them n not my mom I assume it is late or a taxi I kno she would take pass n she not in it I would ball 😭these memories live wit me wen I hear these songs it was about 91 or 92 I have never get a chance to let any body kno songs are like a time marker give thanks Jah Jah it could a worst

I guess my understanding of the song is different: Jack is a player that tell her all the sweet lies, but the other guy is a good guy but doesn't have the fancy car and the vanities, but she wants nothing to do with him she want jack, she found out later Jack only wanted one thing and now wants the other guy, but he says she too late.
