I agree you are probably right, but I don't think that's why he's in the rain. I'm from up here in the NW. We either go out and play in the rain, or we don't go out very often. The only cure for claustrophobia is to go out...in the cold ass rain.The biggest gun lesson I've learned up here is from a NW hunting forum. "Wax your guns." I use a 1965 dated Win 94 for hunting. The worst receiver metal ever would surface rust in a day in the rain. I tore it down and waxed up everything after the oil, using toothbrushes to force it and then buff it everywhere. It works great. A surface wax job is part of all my routine blued gun cleaning now. Protects the metal and the wood. A better solution is stainless and plastic. lol

Many people wonder if they've made an impact on the world. I hope Paul doesn't have that doubt. His video's are the best; no cringy CGI overlays, no stupid 2 minute intro montages attempting to be humorous, no loud annoying background music, no screen cuts every 10 seconds like an 80's music video. Education. That's what Paul offers. I close every one of his video's with learned knowledge that I did not have coming in. Here's to you Paul, you HAVE made a difference. Hickock 45 is another good channel, but Hickock only films from one angle. We only see him shoot from behind. He's a great shooter, but doesn't go into the deep analysis of the firearm like Paul does. Paul films from several angles along with filming close-ups of the gun and examining how we, as shooters, can better understand the various guns out there.

My shooting skills have actually improved since moving back to the DA/SA platform after nearly two decades of using the Glock (and similar designs) almost exclusively. A DA/SA trigger may take more time to master, but when you have a really good DA/SA trigger like the Beretta, once you get it mastered you have something special.

Your handling of the Beretta, and teachings, are absolutely superb! Would enjoy seeing this kind of a take on the CZ75 format (safety/non-decock). Thank you for all your work, as I've said before...the best on the tube.

The fact that this is yet another Paul Harrell production alone demands a thumbs up (which I gave before I even hit play), but the things touched on in this video I feel apply not only to the 92FS/M9 but all DA autoloaders. As a matter of fact I have this bookmarked because I plan on re-watching it repeatedly. Good stuff here...great job sir!

I thought the M-9 was an olde man's gun with its hammer and thought Uncle Sam should have gone with a Striker Fired Glock type sidearm 'back in the day'. After not shooting an M-9 for 20 years I discovered... that... I actually prefer a Hammer fired DA/SA pistol over a striker fired one. The 'dreaded' & heavy DA pull first shot is not an issue. I think it helps me set a firm grip. The Beretta 92 design was tested as equal to the SIG in the testing done by the Army when they chose it. It is a proven reliable platform.

Livin ; 100% correct ! I dislike a striker fired sidearm. Owned one and sold it within 6 months.

I watched a video where an unknowledgeable individual call the Beretta garbage. I owned a 92F and could shoot out the red center of a Lite Beer can @ 10+ yards. Wish I never sold it.😭

Thanks Paul for demonstrating this technique with the Beretta which will help me a lot in shooting better. Though I have shot a lot of guns through the years, I don't know it all as I am learning a lot from just watching your videos.

I have owned my 92fs since 1994 and love it. I was recently contemplating selling it to get something smaller, but after this video, I am looking forward to taking it to the range. The best and most informative instructional video I have ever seen. Most guys with gun skills spend most of the video showing off, but Paul teaches you how to be as good as he is. Bravo sir...

Hands down the best and most informative video I’ve ever seen on properly shooting the 92 and M9. Still having a little trouble getting that support hand to work properly for me as I’m a lefthanded shooter but I’m getting there. Thanks Paul!

When I was in the Navy myself and 2 of my fellow corpsmen from the ship went to the range. We had my 92fs, my Vlad had a Sigpro in 9mm and Henrique rented a Glock 17. All 3 of us scored the best with the 92fs. I've been to the range with civilian friends and they shoot as well or better with my 92fs compared to their own pistol.

I really enjoy your videos. I'm a fan of the Berreta. I dry fire practice with snap caps every day and it does pay off at the range. The Beretta is from my experience a very accurate firearm. Keep up the good work!

Paul, I carried a Beretta 96FS for 20 of my 30 plus years in Law Enforcement. I considered myself to be pretty proficient with it. Your 12 minute video put me to shame. Where have you been all my life. I cant wait to get to the range and work on my new M9 the way you are in this video. I also love your enthusiasm for the Beretta M9 /92's . Its been a 30 year love affair for me.

I used the snap cap mixed with live ammo technique and my accuracy dramatically increased and I stopped anticipating the recoil. I referred this video to my friend as well as I’m stressing that practice with carry guns is paramount. Pretty solid video!

Just bought a 92S made in the late 70s from a vet. First time I shot it I shit you not I could barely get a bullet within a 8 inch group. I was genuinely flabbergasted that I was such a garbage shot with the pistol. So glad I found this video now I actually know what I was doing wrong. Much appreciated
@agarlicsorbet6482 Жыл бұрын
The same good old basics. We put coins or Go stones on the rifle barrels and dry fired it again and again trying not to drop them, to practice the trigger pull. Wish we got the chance to do the same with the M9 but we didn't, so my accuracy was a dumpster fire. I am amazed by what you can do with the M9. Marvelous.

Paul, the reason I put you at the top of my list of video gun consultants was your pragmatic sense of humility. You communicate well, and that itself covers a multitude of presentation sins which a ton of KZbinrs are guilty of. In fact, there are only three of you whose advise really is worth a damn...and with the except of our own preferences, I imagine you'd agree with at least one of my picks. As usual, love your channel, hang in there, Paul!

This is a gem I have missed! Over the years I have owned several 92F and 92SB berettas. This is the first time I have seen anybody explain how to shoot the damn things. I am old school and carried 1911's in the service. I think I might give the 92F a second chance. I will take it to the range and we will see. Thanks for an informative video.

This is by far the best video I’ve seen with so many little tidbits that are gems of knowledge. Thank you so much!
@stephenfrederick30922 жыл бұрын
Without a doubt this is the best video by far for shooting the Beretta! I have struggled mightily with my 92A1 to get comparable accuracy from it that I get from the .357 revolvers, I know the gun is capable of the accuracy it's the loose nut behind the trigger that is the problem. Part of the problem is treating it as I do the rest of my sidearms instead of a different weapon that needs to be practiced differently. I used to carry my Hi-power in condition 1, cocked and locked, one of the reasons I don't use it as a carry weapon anymore. I spent decades training with it and as single action only sidearm I was in the "throw away" the first round camp, that's going to be changing. I especially love the snap cap round drills, I have practiced that extensively with my .357s and never considered it with the Beretta, I will be including that in all of my 9mm drills. Thanks a bunch for the tips, really appreciate you taking the time to do it!!

When I first joined the PD as a reserve I carried the Beretta 92FS. I found it to be very accurate . . . much more so than I was/am. Is it large and heavy? Yes it is, I dubbed it a boat anchor. However, that long barrel's accuracy and the quality of the weapon made it a law enforcement and military staple for years. I'm also anxiously awaiting "Shaboom Shaboom" to hit on Spotify. Great work Paul, thanks for the practical common sense videos and fundamental demonstrations.

An ex-ABN Ranger/SF soldier (who had only one arm) taught me this acronym for when shooting the M9 as well as other firearms: Breath Relax Aim Slack Shoot BRASS. Of course there is a little more to each line in as far as technique, but you get the point. Great teacher, just like our man Paul here!
