When my father turned 16 he was given one of these by his father. My father did the same thing for me and my two brothers. I love these shotguns and I will keep mine forever.

The A303 was the first real firearm I ever shot in my life. Recoil is so tiny it's not even worth worrying about. Great piece of kit.

My dad had this gun many years ago. Thanks for the video it actually meant a lot to me. Good memories the one we had was extremely fast i was very young and i was gentle pulling the trigger and all the cartridges came out like a machine gun.

The Beretta a302 is a fantastic shotgun it was the first shotgun i Learned to clean and shoot with i have a Browning B80 Sl that was made in 1983 it was my first gun Beretta Made the b80 for Browning same gun on the inside but Browning look and chokes i had the Browning b 80 Sl for 4 years and it never jammed and its super easy to look after i really recommend the Beretta semi autos there great guns never fail
@heikkimoilanen59756 жыл бұрын
It can jam if you never clean it. I learned to take it apart at something like 14-yo, dads gun. that was 22 years ago, it's still in occasional use :) father says he will never sell it to anyone. :) i think the model year is -73 on that one.

Browning b80 combines two giants, the mechanic of beretta 302, and the pattern of renowned browning barrels. So the result is a best ever made semi auto.

I purchased a 302, mfg. 1982, at a local pawn shop. It did not take me long to tell why it was pawned/sold. I had to use brake cleaner and a wood block and hammer to move the piston. It does pay to clean them. When it quit being a semi-auto the owner got rid of the gun. Came with 28" mod barrel. I found a 30" magna ported full barrel and enjoyed it shooting trap. Tried to sell at a gun show, but had no takers. Stopped at the trap range on the way home. Shot a 25 and put it back in the safe.

Picking one up today as my first gun and I'm thrilled but also nervous. Been hunting for years with my family and I got my first doe last year with my uncle's 302 using buck shot from about 75-80 yards out. My uncle told me it can very much so be used as an all purpose gun (we hunt deer, turkey, rabbit, duck, etc) , and it's also been pre drilled for a scope mount if I ever wanted one. Hoping it lasts me a long time. I've always loved the quality craftsmanship in Beretta shotguns and was always excited on the days that my uncle would pull one out of his arsenal and let me use it.

I love the looks at the older models as you don't see that very often. Also most of what I have is older... I have a couple of A-300's. Just about the same except for the cut off as far as I can see. Keep the older looks coming! Thanks guys.

I know a few shooters who had an issue with the early version and ended up enlarging the gas ports to eject light loads. Mostly on the 20 gauge models. Mine has no issues. Later version with Mobil chokes. These are very nice guns still today. The magazine cut-off and bolt lock are reminiscent of the Browning Auto 5. Just built differently. Thanks for posting this video.

I've seen guys use the shell cutoff when duck hunting. Normally for ducks a friend of mine uses 3" #4 for ducks, but if geese fly over he'll hit the shell cutoff and drop in a 3-1/2" BB load to reach out farther with his Browning Maxus.

I have owned a 302 since 1980, it has been a very reliable Gun, though the Trigger mechanism failed a few years ago and it went Fully Auto. You lowered the Stock on it for me a while ago . I also have a newer 303. but I am fond of the Old 302, I prefer the External Choke Screw as I have no need for a Tool to change it.

It doesn't like light loads but modern 1oz superfasts cycle perfectly. Where can I get new chokes from as I've lost a couple over the years? Keep up the good work, love the channel and your lip biting, unbiased reviews 👍

Thanks for the upload , am I right I thinking all 302’s imported before 1989 were 5 shot and when the law changed regarding only being allowed 3 shot on a SGC they had to be crimped to only take 3 cartridges

Yes they had to be crimped to only be able to accept two cartridges in the magazine, the same applies to pump actions as well.

What’s the requirements on handguns in the uk? Like does it have to be 22lr or are larger calibers allowed, for example .44 or 357.
@alecingram46696 жыл бұрын
Knock_knock The_ British_are_here we can’t have any handguns it’s a barrel shorter than 12” and oal of 24” and if it is semi auto it can only be .22 lr. If not, you can have long barrel revolvers like the Taurus lbs in .357 mag or .44 mag. If you get a special section 7.3 licence you an own historically significant handguns like a real p08 or 1911 from ww1 or ww2 or like a glock 17 I have seen because it is in use by the British army. However they can only be used at like 11 ranges in the uk and you can only use them at 1 because they are kept at 1 of the ranges and taking it out of the range makes it section 5 and a crime without a licence and you can transport them across ranges but you need a sec 5 dealer to do it. So on sec 1 it has o be 24” long and 22 for semi and anything else is any other caliber and on sec 7.3 you can own sec 5 pistols if kept at a particular range. However you need a really good reason to get a particular handgun on sec 7.3

Hello posh bloke. I know this is a bit off topic but would like your opinion on a berreta 686 evo i have it seems to throw very tight patterns on the plate so much so that i use improved cylinder in both barrels for clays . The modified choke i would usally use in this gun is more like a full. Is this something you have come accross before. Regards. Common bloke.
@tgsoutdoors6 жыл бұрын
Hi glen, Does it do this with every type of cartridge? What sort of patterns are you getting?
@manofkentcatapultsgunsando50696 жыл бұрын
The Gun Shop Yes it does it shoots great but the pattern just seem tighter than my other guns . With mod choke or half to be english at 16 yards with 28 grams with a plastic wad it gives a pattern about 9 inches. Buckles the 8 inch disc on the plate.

@beeboop17268 ай бұрын
One scenario would be if you are out wildfowling, your magazine could be loaded with cartridges for ducks. You see some geese flying your way. Activate magazine cut off and remove cartridge from the chamber. Then this allows you to load a different round straight into the chamber without the magazine carrying an extra shell you don’t want into the chamber. So you could switch to a heavy shell for the incoming geese. 👍
