Thanks so much for posting this. I just picked this up as my first gun for home safety and although I learned at the range/shop. I was anxious about buying my first gun, I didn’t retain the info. Do you find the slide catch release being extremely stiff? It’s almost impossible for me.

On this model it is particularly stiff with an empty magazine. It is easer with no mag, or a loaded mag. If you still find it to be too difficult, then you can "slingshot" the slide. If you need a description of that, I can mag a video explaining it.

@@3KindsOfGuns ok got it. I’ve been practicing with an empty mag but I did order some snap caps to truly get used to it. So I’ll report back. When I was at range it didn’t have that much of an issue. And you are right the “slingshotting the slide” is much easier but if I understand it properly you can only slingshot the slide if certain conditions are met? I am not able to slingshot it if there’s an empty clip. Thank you so much for your help and response. Yes please do a video! I’m sure I’ll be able to learn something else! Appreciate you! 💪🏽

Absolutely, I will throw up a short one this weekend. You cannot slingshot a slide with an empty magazine in it. The magazine follower is interacting with the slide catch/slide release, as designed.

Is it a good pocket weapon as far as an EDC? I am trying to shop around for my mother; she's a senior.

Only with a holster, there is no way I would pocket carry a striker fired gun without a holster over the trigger guard.

I also don't recommend bag carry. Would that work in a purse with a holster, yes. But I think a shield is a better option.
