The range I am a member at doesn’t allow rapid fire or drawing from holster. They do let you do a double tap, break, double tap. But all ranges in the remote area, at least what I’m willing to drive to (40min max one way) are all remotely similar w pricing and what you get with a membership. This specific range has my service because it’s the only one that gives *free* rentals, and one free visitor per visit. The best I’ve found besides that is 5 annual guest passes. That’s a no go.

I just bought one of these And for the life of me I can't figure out how to get the hight adjustment setting to actually work. The pad just spins. It doesn't feel like there is any threading for the knob to catch in order to adjust the height. Which means the pusher sits way lower than my slide and will drag it, if I attempt to remove the sight. Am I missing something with it?

Just a heads up. Clearcoat is only meant to be applied AFTER the paint has fully cured. For spray paint to fully cure is about 4-8 days depending on temp/humidity. Anytime after its cured is when you should apply clearcoat. Most people think it should be done directly after painting and that is what causes problems. Great paint jobs!

I think that was a pretty solid assessment of what you are getting with a PSA rifle, and I own a number of them. My first AR was a Stag and I've never had as much problem with a PSA than I did with the Stag (sold), but that's another story. I have two points to add. First, PSA has so many models of everything, I recommend that you read the descriptions in detail with special attention to what they tell you about each part. That will give you a pretty good idea of the quality of what you are getting with that exact upper or lower, etc. Second, I quite often will order the lower I want with preferred trigger, furniture etc. Then I match it to the upper I want, mostly based on furniture and barrel they have on it, but without a BCG or charging handle. Then I order the BCG and charging handle I want- both with upgraded quality. I get a pretty darned good solid rifle that way an understand when the barrel gives out I will replace that with a better quality one as well. There are lots of other little things you can do to upgrade and improve it as you go along if you want. I think quite a few PSA owners do the same thing as I do and end up with a much better rifle than a stock PSA as time and money allow.
@3KindsOfGuns
@3KindsOfGuns 2 ай бұрын
Thank you for your well written response! I agree with you. There have been some deals on PSA that were no BCG, well great! I have my own preference for them. Thanks again!

@3KindsOfGuns I painted on anodized aluminum, so first I used a self etching primer and did 3 layers of a light base coat and let that dry for a day. It had a bit of a non-smooth surface after, so I think the dawn dish soap may have been more sticky and was prone to pool on the surface. I used Rustoeum Painters Touch 2X Ultracover Paint+Primer as my paints. It is for my daughter so I used a combo of light pink, dark pink, red, white, and black. Temperature was warm 85 degrees, out of direct sunlight (CA weather). After applying the soap, I sprayed immediately, then let it rest for 1 hour prior to washing off the soap, then let it dry for at least an hour prior to repeating.
