The Beretta 3032 Tomcat is a great conceal carry option for those that are recoil sensitive. The .32 ACP is a usable defense round putting out ~130 FT/LBS of energy at the muzzle.

This is in the top 3 videos regarding this pistol. I already have a Bobcat .22Ir and I carry it all the time. At church or at a restaurant with my family I will carry my Glock 26, which I also love. I am buying one of these Tomcats now, and will give the Bobcat to my wife. You are a good teacher, by the way. I am going on 73 years old now, and a simple” gun is what I need, for sure. Thank you.

I carry the Beretta Cheetah as my CCW in the winter here in Florida, and the Beretta Tomcat as my summer CCW when shorts and a t-shirt are basically mandatory due to the ridiculously hot weather. And for the home I have a Beretta shotgun. I'm a huge Beretta fan because all my Beretta firearms are extremely well made, superbly reliable, and extremely accurate. Beretta is an awesome company.

Great review of a great firearm.I've carried the TC 3032 for nearly 14 years in every possible CC configuration imaginable. It's truly snag free in every sense of the word in and out of the pocket. I could not begin to count the rounds fired through mine and I have NEVER had a misfeed, misfire or ejection issue.I did have to replace the firing pin years ago and had some work done on the safety too.Beretta covered the costs.Very accurate, very tough and fun gun;prefer it over hammerless CCW's.

Great video, it's long overdue to have someone extol the benifits of the .32 acp. Practice your accuracy and speed of draw and follow up shots (in this order) and you shouldn't fear anyone with a larger caliber. It's about who gets the first shot, where and every shot after the first increases your odds of success greatly.

DAA55XXXX series Tomcat in"Inox"stainless- over 2500rds with no burps, belches or hiccups. I don't have the hand strength to manipulate the slide, but have never had to. I rarely shoot any caliber in +P, thinking it mainly adds unnecessary wear& I'm confident with standard pressure rounds in any firearm I own. Totally satisfied with its accuracy, size& dependability.

My cousin has a Tomcat ..great gun .. I painted her front sight for her with bright red glow in the dark paint.. so she could see the site.,love the TIP UP BARREL Berettas .. I own a jet fire.25 ACP .. that I carried for years to the '90s up until about 2003 in my pocket in the DeSantis leather trickster pocket holster. Wouldn't hesitate to carry it nowadays...

Just bought this exact Beretta gun. I've watched many KZbin videos about it. Your video is in the 2 or 3 best. You described the pistol and its features completely, you displayed the gun effectively and showed it up close. The range firing and comments about the shooting experience are what anyone interested in purchasing a Beretta Tomcat for concealed carry needs to hear. As you stated, "it would be a bad day for anyone facing the Tomcat in a self defense situation."

Of the four pocket .32 Autos currently made in the US, the Beretta 3032 Tomcat is the best choice if you value magazine capacity, being able to get a grip on the gun, having minimal recoil, having an affirmative external safety, and a DA/SA trigger.

Same, same, and same... This gun is in my pocket whenever I leave the house (unless I'm taking out a PPK, PPQ subcompact, or PPS.) One strange thing about this gun from my experience, though: this gun is jam city *WHEN YOU FIRST START USING IT* but once you break it in, runs almost flawlessly. Never have had a gun that I've had to "break in" so that it would function properly 'till the ole Tomcat. "Breaking it in" took about 3 range sessions for me and I have yet to have a jam since comparative to the multiple jams I'd have trying to cycle through a single mag 🤷‍♂️ Oh, well! She's a beautiful and efficient pocket pistol now and I have zero complaints!!

Good program. I have a Tomcat (my second) and I keep it by my front door - when someone arrives unannounced, I slip it into the back pocket of my jeans and I'm protected. It doesn't print on my jeans, and the gun is as reliable as the day is long. I got my first, an upgrade from a Bobcat (in either .22 LR or .25 ACP - I had both), and it's the right balance of small size, reliability and up-close stopping power.

glad to see someone else praising these great little pistols. you're right on about the deadliness of it due to how well it shoots the .32acp. shooting mine yesterday i was grouping sub 5" at 50'(goofy indoor range rule having to run the target to the backstop). 5 years ago i got mine and an ex girlfriend one as well(she got the pretty INOX version) to carry. her first time shooting a pistol was her tomcat and put all 8 rounds in a silhouette at 50'. mine stays on my ankle and i love it!!!

I picked up my Tomcat inox a few weeks ago and so far I'm really pleased with it.My first box of shells I used were American Eagle 71 gr fmj. and the gun worked flawlessly.I was really impressed with the accuracy (at 10 yards). Then yesterday I tried some Blazer 71 gr fmj and what a difference. They were dirty, not as accurate and I had 2 ftf.Doc,I know you used them in your video with no problems.I will keep experimenting and see what works best. All in all,I'm very pleased with this gun.Thanks.

I agree. It’s not as strong as my Colt Mustang.380 but in my opinion a little Beretta Tomcat in your pocket when you need it beats the .45 that was too heavy to carry in the clothes you decided to wear that day. In 2019 I fell breaking my left index finger and simply can’t rack the damn slide. This may be just what I need. Thanks for the review

Had an older 3032 Tomcat which I presented to a nephew a few years ago. He graduated from Police Academy, and I'd promised him the choice of any one of my smaller sidearms upon his completion of the Academy. Of all the pistols he saw, he chose my Tomcat for on-duty back up and off-duty concealed carry. I really should buy another, but noted they have become thicker than before, and heavier. Still want one.

I like mine. I have one just like yours, a 3032 Inox. Bought it a couple of years ago. Great for the ladies and the elderly because they don't have to cycle the slide at all, just put one in the pop up barrel. As far as frames cracking on the Tomcat, nitwits put in cartridges that are too hot. This is not a brutish all steel 357 revolver. I have mine primarily for walks and protection against canine attack. Press the gun to the top of the head between their ears. Instant results.

I never realized how good of a gun this would be. I have a Hi-Point .380, and my mom is currently looking to get a pistol, but she wants a light one. I said a .32 because it's still got the stopping power of a 30 caliber round, but it's a light gun. This was VERY informative, and now I know a little more about the Beretta 2023 Tomcat. What other .32 calibers would you suggest? I know Beretta can be pricey at times.

Great little gun. I bought the blue version with the CTC laser grip a couple of years ago. (Nicked it when I got home removing the zip tie...sigh.) It's really a range toy but I suppose if it were all I could carry, I'd feel okay about it. Myabe a little more practice. Sidenote: in Texas the 32auto is the minimum caliber with which one may qualify for a CHL (or at least it was when I qualified a few years ago).

I'm going to buy one!! Two comments on your -excellent review-. It is my understanding that under normal conditions there is no need to rack the slide. You slam in the mag, pop up the chamber/barrel and load a shell. Why would I need to use the stiff slide, if I didn't want to? Also, I have seen videos of the tomcat mag eject briskly and completely from the gun. In your review it looks as if your finger is holding it in. Am I correct? I've not held one yet. Tomorrow!! Thanks for any info.

@tubevideoguy762 I'll agree with you there...but, the .22mag is wasted in a short barrel in my opinion. In an short barrel equivalent the .32 ACP will outshine because of the energy and increased mass.

@SVTSMALLS Ok...so if you are looking at the Beretta I'd go with the 92FS as a general gun. I'd also suggest looking at the PX4 it's a really nice shooting gun. I've owned a 92FS in the past and they are really sturdy guns. The only downside it's grip is a bit wide if you have smaller hands. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I love the Tomcat, but the frame cracked after carrying it for about 20 year. I'm guessing it cracked from me carrying it my back pocket and sitting on it for decades. Fortunately, I was able to get a new one. The SS looks much better than it appears in this video. There is a "half cooked" position that allows for keeping the hammer off of the firing pin to prevent the gun from firing if there is an impact to the hammer.

Hey Doc, while I understand shot placement is king, where you suprised how mobile the two punks were after being shot at the Florida internet cafe by a .380? Did it make you doubt the .32 acp at all?

If you search the net, most if not all of the reported frame issues are years old by now. If they were still cracking, it would be all over the forums which you don't see. That is why I ordered one again.

Angel King Just stick with standard pressure, NO +P. Beretta still recommends a 130ft.lbs. limit on muzzle energy.

I'm interested in this gun and have been doing some reading. What I've come across indicates some of the INOX slides cracked as well, and the likely culprit was +p rounds some people were using. That certainly was a useful point you brought up about cleaning solvents attacking the grips. Good info, good review.

You can just cut away/file off the crack and continue like it wasn't there.
