My son gave me an old 61 year old .25 FIE pistol that was missing the safety switch and I found one on eBay for 15 bucks. Cleaned the little gun really good and used Wilson universal lube on all contact points on the slide/frame and polished up the feed ramp with a dremel. I only had 80 rounds of ammo and the little gun just ran flawless, no malfunctions whatsoever. I had heard that these little pocket guns have to be cleaned on a regular basis and they need to be lubed up to function at 100%. I believe that to be true. That little gun runs so good I use it as my last ditch effort backup pistol and it’s always in my pocket in a holster!

Thanks for the great comment I have a new found interest in the 25 acp. I have really enjoyed these little pocket pistols. I find myself carrying more and more with the Tomcat. Do you reload for the 25? Ammo for the 32 is very expensive but very cheap to reload for. If you have saw my last video on the Tomcat I have a berry's 71 gr bullet with 2 gr of red dot powder it seems to work good in both the Tomcat and the PPK. Thanks for watching

I just got one of these little guns and really like the feel of it. I've shot about 100 rounds through it the first time out. Half were Aguila 71g and other the half was Sellier & Bellot 73g. On paper the S&B is pretty hot at 176 ft/lbs 1043FPS. My Colt 1903 loves the S&B ammo, so I have more of that on hand. I think your chono testing really told the story. The gun does not see those pressures with a 2" barrel. I can get the S&B ammo at reasonable price and I will keep shooting in this gun. I have no idea how S&B got their data. I mixed the ammo in each magazine I shot and did notice any difference in recoil. My old arthritis'y hand would know. Time will tell, the Tomcat is very accurate, but my old second generation Colt 1903 is extremely reliable.

The 1903 is a real treasure for sure. 32 ammo is hard to come by for me. I will be reloading some plated bullets soon. Thanks for the great comment

Beretta does not recommend using ammo that exceeds 130 ft/lbs of muzzle energy. Basically, the Tomcat is a beefed up 22lr Bobcat. I have had a recently manufactured Tomcat frame crack in the normal place on the right side of the frame just in front of the trigger. Beretta retired that Tomcat under warranty and sent me a new one. I was told to be very careful with ammo choices. I had used some Blazer Aluminum which is rated below the 130 ft/lbs recommendation but being aluminum cased, it may have had some hot loads. The Norma ammo you were using is rated at 157 ft/lbs. The PMC is rated at 128ft/lbs. I have had no issues with PMC or Aguilla. I don’t use quite as high a thumbs forward grip as you were using. If I do I get a lot of right thumb slide bite. So I have to modify my grip to avoid the slide bite and to avoid interfering with the slide.

Thanks for the great comment. Ammo is so hard to come by I am thinking of reloading for this one.I didn't know about the 130 ft/lbs recommendation.I feel like I could Taylor some reduced power loads for it. The norma ammo functions better than the PMC. I would like to try some 75 grain RNFP cast powder coated bullets. I have wondered if a little heavier bullet would function better. I will be doing some videos thanks for commenting with this good information. Thanks for watching

Berretta recommends 60-71 grain bullet and less than 130 ft./lbs. of pressure. +P (increased pressure) is NOT RECOMMENDED by Berretta. If you exceed that you are risking a bad day at the range.

I'm on my second 3032. I was trying to be mindful of the foot pounds concerns, but still managed to sustain a cracked frame. Beretta did replace it under warranty. I'm keeping to FMJ US ammo for the 3032 and saving European ammo for my bigger 81BB, as I think an EU round cracked it. It does like some ammo more than others, like most little blasters. A snap cap and some dry firing was a big help on the DA trigger. Thanks for yor videos!

Here in Lubbock Texas the only ammo i can get is Aguila 71 gr. ammo. I shot it through my used Bobcat 3032. I bought a box of Fiocchi 73 gr. 32 ammo. I found some TUI in 32 so i may get that box for 30$. I cleaned and lubed up my 3032 so it should shoot great. I shot only 8 rounds of rhe Aguila and its a potent round . I shot through a box of depends and went through 10 of them into the next box. Thanks for the video. Id almost swear you were a Texan. God Bless

The tip-up barrel is great for people with weak hand strength who otherwise might have trouble racking the slide. My 3032 has the Inox (stainless steel) frame and so far no cracks.

The tip up barrel is good, unless there is a misfire. The gun will not eject a dud. Even if you can rack the slide, the dud round will not come out you will double feed. You will need to pop up the barrel and likely need to ramp the dud out the breach with a dowel or a pencil. If you are in a defense situation, you are fucked my friend. Also the gun many times ejects a live round from the mag along with the previous spent shell. This happens with new guns especially. Never carry a new Tomcat for ccw until you have maybe 100 rounds through the gun.

Hey partner I have one of thee things and it is fun, and I reload for it, if you are going to reload for it, buy bullets by the 10002, theybcan be hard to find! I also have one in .22 also, its great fun too. Think about a Kel=tec .32 auto, lot of fun and cost almost nothing, mine has shot `1000s of my reloads with no problems, and a button down shirt pocket makes a great holster! One of two reasons for ejection failure 1: rim spacing is not constant, 2 the extractor is dirty or just weak.

Break 'er in with around 300 rds, wet...reload with the same brass that gives you the best functionality, and use a Lee Factory Crimp die as the last step. Mine works every time...now. For SD rounds the Underwood rounds are my go to... kinda hard to find and expensive, 'tho. Found mine at Midway as I recall. Try European ammo, seems to function better, however I have not used the Norma in .32. I did paint the front sight orange, and may have polished the chamber with Mothers Mag polish and a swab in a dremel...don't remember if I did the Tomcat, but I've done that with lots of handguns that seemed to have a tight chamber. I remember dehorning the trigger, the pointy back of the slide and any other sharp places with the polish Have fun.

Thanks for the great comment I did not think of the Lee factory crimp die.I do feel like it does need some rounds through it . This will be a great winter project. I think I will buy a mold to cast some bullets for it. Accurate molds make a 75 grain RNFP that is a good looking bullet. Not sure how they would cycle. To play it safe I should just go with the round nose bullet. I think the cast bullet powder coated would be a great fit for the 32 ACP. Thanks for watching

I've used commercial plated RN bullets and jacketed HP... dunno if the powder coat FN will work, likely will, only one way to find out. Reloads are cheap enough to shoot all day, with casting the most expensive thing would be the primer...would be almost as thrifty as .22...but 'mo better.

100% on the Underwood for self defense use. Reliable, good penetration and good wound channel. But they are expensive, so not for range/target shooting.

CAUTION! You CANNOT exceed 130 ft pounds with the ammo that you use in this gun. There's a card in the box that has this warning on it. You need to either Google the ammo and / or go to the website. Exceeding the 130 ft pounds WILL crack the frame. How do I know this? I actually cracked the frame and had to buy a new one because my gun was out of warranty. OUCH!
