Really glad the footage worked out for you. I was really impressed with the match. Also, following up the 9 with an X was a real testament to your ability to reset and get right back to it.

Really nice to see the target and shooter while in competition, great job and excellent shooting. One of the hurdles I struggled with in shooting competition was adjusting my "comfort zone" up as my skill level rose especially when you get to the level where you could win any match, many successful competitors I know use visualization to conquer this.
@FClassJohn2 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Yeah I'm not perfect and I let my nerves get the better of me and lost focus. The good part is I realized what happened and settled down to finish out. It's a process and as along as I'm learning every time I'm out there I'll keep moving towards my goals.

John when I use to shoot 1000yds the wind change was at 7 minutes cycle time, is that still correct. been along time not up on the game alot anymore. Things have changed and shooting is greatly improved, Congrats on your great SW nat finish, keep shootin small
@FClassJohn2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the kind words. As to the wind cycles it can very greatly. At times it was switching every 2-3 minutes, other times a condition would hold for 10-15 minutes. Ben Avery is a tricky range and most shooting is down with either a quartering head or tail wind.

I don't think that two scoring disks showing "off target left" is in the NRA rule-book. I am surprised that your scorer did not help you in your sighting shots!?
@FClassJohn2 жыл бұрын
Yeah honestly I wasn’t sure what the guys were doing with the double left paddle but figured they’d what they were doing since I knew I was off left. It did throw me at the time a little but I think I’ve seen it happen once or twice in the past and the puller is a world class shooter so I figured whatever he was doing was legal. My scorer did spot the impacts during sighters which is legal but he didn’t want to bother me until the fourth one. I should’ve better conveyed that in my commentary. Sorry about that.
@mtnshooter24872 жыл бұрын
To be a wind shooter, you have to shoot in the wind.
