Another exceptional video from "Bering Yachts" outlining the build process of their state of the art cruising yachts, a wonderful insight to their product. The different stages of how they build their yachts fascinates me as to how much goes into each individual boat so that the customer can enjoy their time afloat as if it was their home from home. Well done Alexei for giving us an honest insight to the whole build process of your exceptional cruising yachts.

Amazing process to ensure safety and comfort... was wondering how far can Bering customize the boat without jeopardizing safety standards, like for example is it possible for an owner to request a fix balcony in the owner suite on a 88 Bering, for example... or having bigger windows for the guest suites?... or is restricted because of regulation or class? (btw luv the B92 video on how it behaves during rough weather... awesome)

Truly an awesome amount of product such as this en route and now even being made in the USA (Nordhaven versus Bering Round 1.) Because of advancements in infused epoxy resin and now Honda Motor Corporation reentering the outboard motor market the volume of hulls currently in production is substantial with an enormous amount of work being done to create far more robust designs to compete with these offerings. The biggest change in the US market over the past 20 Years has been the production of very robust jet drive systems from both Yamaha and Hinckley Yachts. Neither of course are Expedition Class hulls although Pershing has not been afraid to "go big" on this propulsion system. The USA currently has a massive glut of pure play ICE Platform product to include fuel ⛽ ⛽ ⛽ ⛽ ⛽ so the cost of operating these vessels might be set to plunge dramatically this Calendar Year 2024...which should be great news for those trying to move beyond launch and into the customer experience post sales as Hinckley Yachts already does.

Bering = Nordhavn on steroids
@spdcrzy4 ай бұрын
From a structural standpoint, I'm curious: as you weld the hull skin together, are you starting with completely flat but correctly sized sheets and creating an inherently stressed/load bearing skin in place as it is welded? Or are ALL the panels pre-formed with both the size and curvature of the panel made beforehand so that the panels are already as close to the CAD model of the hull as possible? And if that IS indeed the case, does that reduce the amount of fairing required to get a superyacht-level finish? I'm really curious since even 6mm thick marine steel is NO joke to curve or form in any way.

1.) I love Bering, but I do have a few questions? Why won't Bering build something like the Damen Flexplorer? Not talking about the SeaXplorers, but the Flexplorer like Aurelius, or the new Canados143'. An open lower deck that allows either furniture or a selection of toys like a submarine, a large game boat for fishing, or other items like a bunch of jet skis. If the ethos of the yacht is meant for exploring, you want to do things when you get to the place and explore. A flat deck aft would allow for all types of toys and equipment, or just outdoor activities in general. 2.) Why was the 180' removed from the website? Will Bering not ever make anything over 140'? What if a customer wanted a one off 160' like the 92' you built. Would that be possible? 3.) You all had several orders for the 140 and I believe at one time Alexei said they had 8 ordered. Will we get to see any of those at the boat shows or on KZbin? 4.) One of your competitors in the explorer yacht realm, whom I won't mention,, is building yachts with a steel hull and then a GRP and carbon fiber top section. They claim it is just as tough and durable as aluminum, but it is lighter and because the triclad isn't used, also cheaper. Is this actually true?... because some say it isn't as tough and the savings don't come from not using triclad, it comes from less welding. Not asking you to slam them, just clarify if these claims are true? 5.) Not a question, but a suggestion. On the Bering 38 catamaran with the bunk forward, if you put a drop down bed commonly found in campers, inside of that boat, you could sleep another person or 2 kids and really make it a family boat. If you also placed some brackets on the sides, then people could put Jerry cans for water or fuel in them, or use them for fender storage, or a live bait box could be put there and a pump that ran fresh saltwater into there could be used. Rubber coating on the corners to prevent chaffing of fishing line might be good too. I have a bunch of ideas for that since I used to work on fishing boats.

Alexei keeps saying they don't customize some aspects, but it seems like almost all Bering's builds have those aspects customized. For example, NautiStyle's B75 and B76 Lemanja. Also you've built or are building yachts of sizes that aren't even listed as standard sizes on your website. Almost like you're a fully custom yacht builder, but don't want to admit it. lol
