It is a true shame that the area I was born in is now a place for the rich to live. This film was recorded when the LDDC kicked locals out then redeveloped the old estates.The properties on these estates now go for over a million pounds and more if they are by the river. The LDDC operated in the 80s and 90s and what has changed?! Nothing that is what!!. How many true locals,of which the numbers are dwindling,can afford half a million for a 2 bed flat?? It is sad that I believe that my granddaughter will not be living in the area I was born,unless she wins the lottery! The real community my parents enjoyed has long gone. Dockland areas in particular are for rich outsiders. True locals have almost disappeared and it will not be long when they are gone forever.In around 20 years the South and East London accent will have vanished too.! All this is a real shame.

It vanished years ago with the arrival of Immigrants. We all moved out because of it ffs.

Yes indeed local people across the London area can't afford to buy or even rent this has been going on for decades not just overnight. Social housing not being built no profit in it all about money rich getting richer poor getting poorer nothings changed since this clip being made how long is that? Goverments blame each other all talk.
