Manika Batra is doing well at the international stage but India needs to give her a dedicated coach with a sports science team who works only for her like other international players.

Bernie did her homework and was prepared how to play against Manika after last year straight loss. It was a close match. Manika has improved a lot over the last 2 years. She is playing better forehand than ever before. Her backhand switch and punch is her strength. She was winning against Bernie over longer rallies. She can certainly beat the best of best.

WHYYYYYYYY. Yes it’s true that negative score card affects Batra because it seems evident with her body language, her body from the shoulders and her hands become extremely loose with disappointment. She needs to work on that part. I’ve seen her improved SO much over the last of couple of years and despite playing against the high ranking players, she’s proving to be a worthy opponent and sometimes, winning against them too. Which clearly means she has great potential. All the best to her for Asian Games.

Batra's body language is so so negative and naive when she loses points.. very unusual for her level of play. A better body language would take her miles ahead of others. She's playing great.. if she has a positive body language then she can really achieve big at this stage

Hi manika i dont know who your coach is but take notice when u attack u mostly win points with fh, now u play 75% long pips that is bad u shud play 75% fh attack and keep pips for receiving serves and placement, hope u will heed and improve. watch some matches of liu song for some inspiration. Jai Hind.

I have also noticed the same thing. Batra always gets the initial edge but after a point seems to get negative and starts losing points. She is a terrific player but gets affected by perception. That's why her body language is so animated. She should focus to keep herself calm and noone can stop her
